For each feature, we will review the following:
A description of the feature and the business value it provides.
Steps for setting up and using the feature.
At the end of the session, we provide a list of resources where you
can find additional information.

6
First, lets discuss the screen customization changes.

7
The screen customization changes augment the tool kit which is
available to customize the OTM user interface.

8
The business value these enhancements provide include:
Allowing manager-related data to be consolidated into a single tab
Providing the ability to fine tune the end-user experience based on their day-to-
day process requirements

9
The following screen customization enhancements have been made
in OTM 6.1:
The Menu Manager:
Allows a menu to be sorted alphabetically by default
Enables the URL associated with a menu item to be viewable
The Screen Set Manager allows the properties of the fields on the search tab to
be modified. For example, you can now modify labels, drop-down lists,
operators, constrain fields to indicate they must be populated, and so on.
The Manager Layout:
Supports the expanding and contracting of sections by default
Enables the deletion of buttons
Enables the moving of grid from one tab to another
Provides grid results paging by allowing you to specify a maximum number
of results that can be displayed

10
You can use Manager Layout to move a grid from one tab to another.
Select the grid you want to move and then click Move Grid. OTM
displays the Move Grid page, shown at the bottom of the slide, where
you can select the appropriate grid and click Finished. In this example,
you are moving the Protective Service grid to the Involved Parties tab.

To access the Manager Layout page, click Configuration and

Administration > User Configuration > Manager Layout.

11
Grid results paging enables you to set a maximum number of results
to display in a manager. You can do this through the Manager Layout
discussed previously. In the screen to the left of the slide, you can see
the Producers tab in the Manager Layout page. You can select:
Display All to display all results that are returned by OTM
Display Max to display up to the number of results you specify
On the corresponding manager, OTM displays a message, as shown
in the screen at the bottom of the slide, indicating that the result set
exceeds the maximum you specified. If the result set is also a
manager, OTM displays a URL where you can access the full result
set in a separate manager page.

12
Next, lets discuss the rate inquiry screen configuration
enhancements. This screen is also known as the RIQ screen.

13
Updates have been made to the RIQ screen including:
Improvements to the user interface
Changing the Commodity section of the page to a true grid which allows for
users to specify more than 3 lines of commodity information
Enabling the ability to customize the RIQ user interface using logic
configuration and user preferences
In addition, there is new logic configuration functionality that can be used to
specify default values including:
Perspective such as buy or sell
Find option such as rate or rate and route
Location filters for source and destination
The ability to Customize a section display to hide a section, display an
expanded section, or display a collapsed section.

14
The business value provided by the RIQ screen configuration
enhancements include:
The ability to resolve the additional vertical and horizontal scrolling by allowing
admin users to configure how sections should display or if they should be
displayed at all.
Enabling users to set default values for the RIQ screen which allows end-users
to bypass having to specify certain values.

15
You can modify your preferred RIQ screen settings through the
Shipment Management > Power Data > General > Logic
Configuration menu option. On the Logic Configuration page, you can
see the Parameter, the Default Value, and the Parameter Value youve
selected.

16
Once youve set your preferred RIQ screen settings, you need to
assign the logic configuration to your user preferences. To access
your user preferences, click Configuration and Administration >
Preferences > User Preferences. In the user preference, select a
Name of RIQ UI Configuration Preference. The Value is the logic
configuration you just created.

17
Once you set up your logic configuration and assign it to your user
preference, you can see the changes in the RIQ screen. In this
example:
The Find default is set to Rate. You can change this to Rate and Route.
The Location Filter is set to Location ID for the Ship From location. OTM only
displays the Location ID field by default. You can change the filter to show other
search criteria.
Most of the other displayed sections are collapsed. Based on your settings, the
Commodities section is displayed and expanded. If you choose to hide a section
when you set up your logic configuration, the section will no longer display on
the RIQ screen.

18
Finally, lets discuss the tender collaboration changes in OTM 6.1.

19
In OTM 6.1, the tender collaboration screens have been added to the
screen set manager and manager layout. This allows for
customization of these screens based on your business requirements.

20
The tender collaboration changes allow clients to further streamline the carriers
experience when they are required to log into OTM.
The screens can be customized for the specific business and you can eliminate
any unnecessary data from the screens.
