    FullyAutomatic:ThemotorstartsinStarwhenthegreenSTARTbuttonispressed.ChangeovertoDELTAisautomaticafter10to20secs,controlled
    byanadjustableelectronictimerincorporatedinthestarter.

    Construction:

    ASDshaveoneIncomingmainswitch(TPN)withHRCfusesfollowedbythreecontrolfuses&sixindicatinglamps:ThreelampsRed,Yellow,Bluefor
    threephases,OneAmberforTrip&OneAmberforOverloadindication.TherearethreepowercontactorsMAIN,STAR,DELTA.Thethermaloverload
    relayissuitablywiredandinterconnectedwiththeMAINcontactor.

    Overloadprotection:

    Thetriplepolebimetallicthermaloverloadrelayisofhandresettype.Itunmistakableindicatedoverload.Atemperaturecompensationdevice
    preventstherelayfrombeingaffectedbyvariationinambienttemperature.Overloadrelaysetting

    Phasefailure,Phaseunbalanceprotection:

    TheVSPD2phasefailurerelayactsinPhaseFailure,Unbalance,PhaseSequence.IthasAuto/Manual/RemoteResetandanAdjustableUnbalance
    Setting,2COoutputRelay.Itprotectsthemotorincaseofphasefailure,phaseunbalance.

    PushButton:
    IlluminatedSTART,STOPpushbuttonaremountedonthefrontofthestarterpanel.

    Earthing:
    Separateearthbusbarisprovidedinthepanel.

    DosandDontsforStarterPanel:
    Dos:

    1. Beforeinstallationcheckforanyloosenessinthewiredcomponentsofthepanel.
    2. Checkthesupplyvoltagefromwheretheincomingsupplytothestarteristobegiven.Thesupplyvoltagemustnotfallbelow415+10%V.
    3. AlwaysoperatethehandleofthemainswitchinOneGo.
    4. IfthetimeofSTARtoDELTAconversionhappensquicklythenadjustthetimesettingofthetimerto10seconds.
    5. Ifthemotordoesntstartatthefirsttimetheninterchangethewiringatterminals2&3ofVSPD2.
    6. Alwaysconnecttheneutralproperlywitheverystarterpanel.
    7. AlwaysearththebodyofthestarterpanelatthebothsidesindicatedforEarthing.
    8. Ifthemotortripsagain&againthendisconnectthemotor&startthestarterwithoutload,ifitwithstandsindeltathencheckthemotorfor
    possibleoverloading.

    Donts:
    1. Neveroperatethestarterpanelbyopeningthefrontdoor.
    2. DontchangethewiringofthepanelwithoutconsultingwithElectricalDepartmentoffactory.

    TROUBLESHOOTING

    1)MotorworksinStar.HoweveritdoesnotworkproperlyIn Checkifonlythreewiresarebeingterminatedinterminalbox
    Deltaandrefusestotakeload. ofmotor.Sixwiresshouldbeconnectedtostarter.Ifshorting
    linksarepresenttheyshouldberemoved.
    2)MotorstartswithdifficultyinStarortripswhenadditional ReducetimedelayfromStartoDeltaincaseitiskeptvery
    loadispresent, long.
    3)MotorworksinStar.HoweverstopswhenDeltaconnection Possiblyduetolowsystem voltage.

    3)Eventhoughallsixwireshavebeenconnected,motorstops Deltaconnectionfrommotorisimproper
    wheninDelta,

    4)MotorstopswheninDelta,startertripsandfuseblows. Lowsystemvoltage.Star/Deltaconnectioninstarterwrongly
