PHIL JANOWICZ RAISES OVER $180,000, ESTABLISHES HUGE EARLY MOMENTUM

HEADING INTO THE SUMMER MONTHS

Buena Park, CA Congressional candidate Phil Janowicz, challenging Ed Royce in California's 39th
District, today announced he closed out Q2 strong. His campaign raised over $180,000 in just 9 weeks
from hundreds of grassroots donations. The average supporter donated just $174.

"I'm proud of the momentum we've been able to create so far," Janowicz stated. "As a first time
candidate, it's humbling the amount of support we've already received. With the primary just under a
year away, this unprecedented pace of fundraising for a CA-39 challenger will allow us to continue to
build a well-funded campaign in the months ahead."

In addition to fundraising, Janowicz has already been active in the district. He's spoken at numerous
events across the community, hosted successful meet-and-greets, and met thousands of voters in just two
short months.

"We know it's going to take a movement to flip this district," Janowicz said. "I'm encouraged by the
energy. People are paying attention, and they're sick of the Ed Royce and Donald Trump agenda.
They're angry over the healthcare vote, but more than that, they're tired of being ignored by Washington
politicians."

Today's announcement comes on the heels of several recent articles and profiles that illustrate
Janowicz's increasing momentum:

- Profiles of his campaign in The LA Times and Chemistry World

- A write-up in nationally distributed Forbes Magazine

- His op-ed on the Paris Accords published in The Voice of OC

- Coverage of his announcement in Roll Call, the LA Times, The Daily Titan, and The OC Register
CA-39 has been recognized nationally as a top pickup opportunity for Democrats in 2018. Hillary
Clinton won the district with a majority of the vote by 8.6 points. The Republican registration advantage
has shrunk dramatically since the district was drawn in 2011 and is now under 2 points. The nationally
respected Cook Political Report moved this district away from the "Likely Republican" column and
notes a "political outsider" is ideal to take on Ed Royce.
