Dr. Matt Heinz Reports $200,000 Raised in Two Weeks

for Race Against McSally
In a sign of enthusiasm and support from Southern Arizona Democrats, Tucson
physician Dr. Matt Heinz announced today that he had raised more than $200,000 in
just two weeks for his race against Martha McSally.

Our nation is headed in the wrong direction and people know it, said Dr. Heinz.
Instead of helping middle class families, Republicans like Martha McSally are
dismantling affordable healthcare, defunding Planned Parenthood, and setting the
stage for a massive tax cut that will benefit the wealthiest five percent.

Dr. Heinzs fundraising pace of nearly $12,000 a day, was fueled by more than 700
individual donors with a median contribution of $15. This enthusiasm is mirrored
by Dr. Heinzs performance in a May survey by Public Policy Polling that showed
him defeating McSally by 4 percentage points and defeating his closest primary
opponent by double digits.

Democrats are fired up about Matt, said Tucson state senator David Bradley.
Whether its through his work in the Tucson Medical Center, the Tucson V.A.
Hospital, the U.S. Department of Health, medical relief missions to Nicaragua, or his
visits to refugee camps in the Middle East, Matts experience and authentic passion
make him the perfect candidate to challenge Congresswoman McSally.
