2. High Visibility Orange colour fabric cover.
3. Adjustable Buckle for tightening and specially designed with Velcro fitment for
easy/quick donning in an emergency
4. Special construction of the Jacket allows the wearer quick turning in case of being
knocked unconscious in water.
5. Chemically resistant to sea water and petroleum products.
6. Retro- reflective Tape Solas Approved
7. Inner Foam : Soft Polyethylene

13. Approvals : Life Jacket should be IRS approved and stamped, confirming to SOLAS 74
as amended Reg.III/4, III/7, III/34, X/3, 1994 & 2000 HSC codes VIII/8.1 LSA code Reg
l/1.2 and II/2.1.1 IMO Resolution MSC.81 (70) Part 1 & MSC 200(80), MSC 218(82), MSC
201(81) and MSC 207 (81).
14 Type Tests (Approval): Type Test shall be carried out as per LSA code and SOLAS
Specification (latest)
15 Performance test shall be carried out as per SOLAS specification (clauses).

LIFE BUOYS
It should be useful in Deep Sea, in case of Flood, Safety measures for sea vessels &
sea Mishap. It should be totally moisture proof and non-inflammable.
Testing:
It should be prototype tested for following tests as per SOLAS specification (Clauses)

Flotation Test It should be remain floating for a period of 24 hours (Cl. 1.6)
Strength Test. (Cl. 1.7)
Test for operation with a light and SOLAS Smoke signal (Cl.1.8)
Self-activating smoke signal tests (Cl.1.9)
NOTE: - The Life Jacket & Life Buoys shall be IRS approved at the time of registration
and inspection.
