On July 8, 2017 at approximately 11:00am, a bicyclist was struck by a black Volvo while traveling on the Natchez
‘Trace in Williamson County. A video of the collision captured the license plate of the car which struck the eyclist. The
registered owner of the vehicle was identified as Marshall Neely ILI. After the collision, Neely III fled the scene of the
accident. The cyclist was transported to a hospital, with injuries. Neely II told law enforcement that a man and
Woman were standing in the road and threw the bicycle at his car. Neely III did not notify law enforcement of the
collision or offer assistance to the injured cyclist.
