including Caramel malt for sweetness, flaked barley for dense
foam, a bit of Chocolate malt for its deep color and Aromatic and
Munich malts to add even more depth. German and Perle hops
add a touch of bitterness to balance the malty sweetness. The
addition of rich Sumatra coffee takes this perfectly balanced
imperial brown ale to a decadent level.

Jahrhundert Bier is bright and beautiful, the color of a desert at
sunrise. The long-lasting head is creamy and thick. The taste is
pure malt, clean, fresh, and round, like a fine dry wine. The flavor
is bread-like, fruity and earthy delicious, with an aftertaste that is
clean and long lasting. It was first created to celebrate the 100-
year anniversary of Ayinger in 1978 and has been brewed yearly
for the occasion ever since.

In a nod to the French winemaking tradition, once a year, the
brewers at 3 Sheeps create a cuvee blend that draws on the best of
their barrel aged beers from the past 12 months. This years blend
features a base of imperial stout aged in bourbon barrels, a black
saison aged in red wine barrels to impart stone fruit undertones,
an imperial stout aged in red wine barrels for a touch of tart and
tannins, and a dark wheat aged in bourbon barrels for a warm
bourbon finish.
