The artifact used to demonstrate mastery of Standard 2.1 was a Multimedia Design

Project. This artifact was independently created by myself, as partial fulfillment of ITEC 7445,

Multimedia and Web Design. This artifact demonstrated mastery of the standard because it

reflects the model and facilitation of a design and implementation of technology enhanced

learning experiences aligned with student content standards and student technology standards.

The Multimedia Design Project reflected my ability to model and facilitate the design of

a technology-enhanced learning experiences aligned with student content standards and

student technology standards because it was a technology-enhanced learning experience,

designed for upper elementary school students, to master the Georgia Standard of Excellence

MGSE4NBT.5b (Multiply two, two-digit numbers using strategies based on place value and

properties of operations). The International Society for Technology in Educations (ISTE)

standards one, three, six, and seven, for students, were also incorporated into the WebQuest

learning experience. Commented [JPC1]: How did you incorporate these

standards, though? What, specifically, did you do? This is
the part of the reflection that should DESCRIBE not just

projects and contributed valuable feedback to improve their learning experience. Students were

exposed to a variety of audio, visual, and multimedia content that worked to reinforce the

mathematics standards. Students could learn math in their own and express what they knew

through their choice and their voice.

The WebQuest was designed with students of diverse learning needs in mind. The

learning activities in the WebQuest provided students with disabilities, English Language

Learners, gifted students, and regular education students with the opportunity to learn in multiple

ways. Instructional strategies, such as differentiation were embedded to provide students with

multiple ways to express what they have learned. Commented [JPC2]: This section is good Im not quite
sure why it is here. Differentiation and diversity isnt a part
of this standard (although I might wish it were). Use this area

WebQuest that students can access at any time, at any pace, and at home or school. Students can

use the WebQuest to master the multiplication of two-digit numbers and leverage technology to

I The candidate learned that the concept of accessibility must be considered at the

conceptual level of any multimedia design. The candidateI also learned that learning

experiences must take into consideration the diverse learning needs of students with disabilities,

English Language Learners, as well as gifted learners so that all students have an opportunity to

mastery state and national standards. In the process of reflecting on this project, the candidate I

probably would have used Microsoft tools to check my documents and text for accessibility. The

candidate I also would have placed Alternate Text with my graphics for those who use screen

readers. In addition, the candidate I would have presented all content in a vertical format, which

is the preferred format for screen readers.

The candidate had I have yet to statistically analyze this Weebly site for its impact on

student achievement, faculty development, or school improvement. This WebQuest does

contribute to the existing body of technology-enhanced learning experiences that promote

accessibility for all learners to achieve student standards and technology standards.
