14. Of course money in the account of the Prime Minister and certain Government
members would not be frozen in Malaysia. They will not be accused of money
laundering. They will be free to give the money to BN parties during election.
15. You can lodge a police report. You risk being questioned and detained. You may be
charged with sabotage of the economy, or of being a terrorist.
16. The courts may throw out the case. But that would take years. You will suffer all
kinds of harassments, made bankrupt, deprived of your passport etc. During appeals to
the Appeal Court and then the Federal Court, the harassment of the victim will go on.
This is meant to deter others from attempting to support the opposition.
17. With Pakatan Harapan financially paralysed Najib expects to win based on his
enormous financial strength and the willingness of the administrative officers to commit
wrongdoings if ordered to.
18. I have been accused of having destroyed democracy during my tenure. Since
democracy has been destroyed already, the only thing that is being done by Najib must
constitute kleptocracy.

to them in the budget. Additionally the huge sums of money which the Dept of Justice
says he had stolen from 1MDB will be used for bribing the electorate.
18. The people of Malaysia must reject the abuses of power by the BN party. They must
be steadfast in voting against BN. They must ensure the defeat of the BN. The country
will be totally destroyed if the BN is given another five years.
1. This is the third in the series on the above subject. What Najib will do or is likely to do to
win the 14th GE would require a whole book. I am listing only a few based on what he had
done before and during the 13th GE, what he did during the by-elections and what other
things he had done to stifle opposition against him.
2. The nation will remember the 5th Bersih demonstration. He declared that he would not
ban it. But we all know the strenuous efforts he made to prevent the demonstration from
taking place, or at least to reduce the scale.
3. All sites proposed by Bersih were not approved by the police. Certain streets were also
classified as unsuitable. The demonstration must not be violent. It must not result in rubbish
being thrown by the demonstrators. Yellow shirts were regarded as criminal wear.
4. Bersih complied with nearly all these restrictions. Unlike street demos in other countries,
the demonstrators did not fill the streets but kept mainly to the sidewalks. They obeyed all
instructions by the police. They had teams of people to pick the rubbish. The demonstrators
avoided littering the roads. There was no violence, not even when the red shirt Government
supporters came into contact with the yellow shirts. The world had never seen such an
orderly and peaceful demo. No tear gas, no tyres burnt, no cars overturned.
5. Despite, the organisers promising to comply with all the conditions, a few days before the
demo, Maria Chin Abdullah, the principal organiser together with nine other leaders were
arrested. Maria was thrown into a dark cold room. This is a form of torture. The demo
started minus many of their leaders.
6. It was several days after the demo that Maria and the others were released. This too
because people held silent protests in Merdeka Square night after night.
7. That is one of Najibs ways of terrorising the opposition.
8. From this episode we can forecast Najibs likely act to destroy the opposition and frighten
the people when the 14th Election is held.
9. There are already signs of a build-up of the case for arresting and detaining opposition
leaders. The arrest of the opposition leaders will leave the parties in disarray. Of course it
would anger the people but many may be intimidated and become too frightened to vote
for the opposition. They believe Najib would find out and action would be taken against
them. Without leaders they would not know what to do.
4
10. The voting for the opposition would be eroded. And during the leaderless period Najib
would be able to bribe the people and the election workers to his hearts content. They
would do all the illegal things that he wants them to do. Money will flow on an
unprecedented scale.
11. The election workers and officials may misdirect the voters, and the voting would be
manipulated. Many will not be able to vote at all. Postal votes would be hijacked and moved
to increase the votes in the constituencies of the important BN candidates.
12. Malaysia is effectively no longer a democracy. We are now classified as a kleptocracy, a
country ruled by thieves. The election would be so fraudulent that it would become almost
meaningless. It will be a shame.
13. The IGP may not like it but Malaysia has become effectively a police state. There is no
longer the rule of law. Whether the instructions are against the laws of the country or not,
the police have shown they are prepared to carry them out. They will arrest the leaders of
the opposition knowing full well that these people have done no wrong. They will harass
people, calling them in for questioning and threatening them. These things have been done
and done with the consent of the IGP.
14. All these will happen if elections are held. But Najib can very well not hold the elections.
It is within his power to do so. Laws will not bother him. Simply by declaring a security
situation or a state of emergency even if there is none he can literally suspend the
constitution.
15. In this he will have the full support of UMNO and BN leaders. They all know that their
leader is abusing his power. They all know about the investigations and accusations levelled
at Najib by investigators in foreign countries. They all know of the criminal reports by the
Department of Justice of the US, the arrests and closure of banks in Singapore in the 1MDB
scandals. They all know of the massive bribery with stolen money that has been done by
Najib almost ever since the took office. He had destroyed UMNO and the country.
16. Said Keruak, Annuar Musa, Zahid Hamidi, Hishamuddin, Mustapa Mohamad, the MCA
and MIC leaders and all the cabinet ministers just do not care. They dont care what
happens to the country, to the people and the reputation of good governance that was built
by the founding fathers.
17. All they care about is their position, their perks and possibly the bran they get. Let the
country go to hell. Let it be called a kleptocracy. Let it be listed among the 10 most corrupt
country in the world. They dont care. Cannot be that they dont know. But they dont care.
18. The people can suffer. That is not the problem of the ministers. Being led by a thief is
okay.
19. As long as they do well for themselves, nothing else matters.
20. I know the net is closing around the opposition leaders. But I appeal to all good
Malaysians; Malays, Chinese, Indians, Ibans, Kadazans, Muruts and Bajaus to reject Najib in
the 14th GE even if the leaders of the opposition are incarcerated in jail.
21. Malaysians!

22. This is your country. You were born here. You grew up here. You led a good life here,
earning legitimate income from the work that you do, the services that you provide.
23. Save this, your country, from being ravaged and pillaged by Najib and his greedy
kleptocrats.
Former minister Zaid Ibrahim says Prime Minister Najib Razak's vow to do 'whatever it
takes to defend country, Malay race and Islam', may see him using NSC to stay in
power.
PETALING JAYA: Zaid Ibrahim has a warning for his Pakatan Harapan
colleagues: Beware the National Security Council (NSC) Act 2016.
Calling it a weapon that no one else has, the former minister said Prime
Minister Najib Razak may use it if the results of the next general election
(GE14) do not favour him and Umno.
The prime minister has already said that he would do whatever it takes to
defend the country, the Malay race and Islam.
6
I read that to mean that he considers himself and Umno as indispensable,
and that he is the sole defender of the country, the Malay race and Islam,
Zaid said in a blog posting today, asking PH leaders to consider a possible
scenario, so as to be better prepared in such an eventuality.
The NSC Act, which was passed in Parliament in December 2015, allows,
among others, for the prime minister to chair the National Security Council to
declare a state of emergency without having to go through the Yang diPertuan
Agong.
On June 7 last year, the Bill became law without royal assent. According to
the gazette, the bill was declared as assented on Feb 18, under Clause 4(a)
of Article 66 of the Federal Constitution, which states that a bill becomes law
30 days after it is presented to the Agong, even without his assent.
Zaid, who joined DAP earlier this year, said with Najib having complete control
of the NSC, he can do anything he wants.
This Director of Operations takes full operational control of the area, including
the deployment of security forces and administrative personnel. The Director
of Operations has absolute power to perform any task that relates to national
security, Zaid said.
He added that based on past experience, the notion of what is national
security and national interest is basically whatever the prime minister says it
is.
Therefore, invoking the NSC would be purely at the prime ministers discretion
and by appointing a Director of Operations who reports to him, by default, the
prime minister would have total control of all armed forces and security
apparatus in the country.
The traditional chain of command of the army, navy, air force and police are
in tatters, as it has been broken by the NSC Act.
That is because the Director of Operations heads an entire security area and
will be in charge, not the Armed Forces chief or the Inspector-General of
Police.
Zaid said after declaring an area as a security area, such an order can only be
revoked by the Dewan Rakyat and Dewan Negara.
7
But with both houses of parliament being dissolved (for a general election),
the declaration of emergency will be valid for as long as the prime minister
wants.
With the declaration being valid for six months and as it can be renewed
indefinitely thereafter, the prime minister could use the NSC Act to keep him in
power post-election, Zaid said.
On a more alarming note, Zaid also suggested that it could even be possible
for the prime minister to declare only certain areas under emergency rule
before the general election.
The Director is after all required to perform such other tasks or functions as
directed by the Council. He is therefore empowered to direct any government
entity, including the Election Commission to do or not do whatever he wants,
Zaid said.
While hoping against all these eventualities, Zaid said he will only discard
such thoughts if Najib comes out and categorically declares that he will not
use the emergency powers under the NSC Act to manage the coming
elections.

Emergency rule possible if opposition wins
GE14, says Dr M

The former prime minister believes that the election may be declared null and void if
Pakatan Harapan pips BN to the post. Tha Malaysian Insider file pic, June 22, 2017.
The opposition may have to face the possibility of the election being declared
null and void should the (Barisan Nasional) BN lose by a small margin, the
Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) chairman said in his blog today.
Or, the government will refuse to admit defeat. The opposition would be
accused of cheating. No evidence would be needed for the government to
declare this. The bullies of the BN will be ready to create instability.
9
On this basis there could be a declaration of a state of emergency and
Parliament would be suspended, he said.
We all know that Najib is desperate not to lose his premiership. Bersih saw
many of these abuses of authority happening in the 2013 election. Worse
things can happen in this 14th General Election, Mahathir said.
The election must be held by June next year, which Mahathir said would be
fraught with cheating.
Money and foodstuffs are being given out in the guise of fasting month
support right now, he said.
Mahathir also stated that the Election Commission has redrawn the
boundaries of the constituencies, literally dividing Malay and Chinese voters.
He believes the Malays can be easily bribed to vote for BN but the Chinese
will continue to be dead against him as they were in the 13th General
Election, Mahathir said, referring to Prime Minister Najib Razak.
Mahathir further claimed that PBBM Armada Youths were offered bribes of up
to RM50,000 to leave the party, adding that those who did were made to sign
documents requiring them to vote for BN.
The Pakatan Harapan coalition which consists of DAP, PKR, Amanah and
PBBM has said it will contest all 222 Parliamentary seats in the next
election. June 22, 2017.

Umno used as shield for Najibs crimes,
says Dr Mahathir

Dr Mahathir has called on the party faithful to reject the Umno he says has been
hijacked by Prime Minister Najib Razak. The Malaysian Insight file pic, June 23, 2017
TO back Prime Minister Najib Razak is to support his crimes, said former
Umno president Dr Mahathir Mohamad one day before Muslims complete
fasting in the month of Ramadan.
The former premier said, in his blog chedet.cc today, that only those who have
turned their backs on the Malay race, Islam and the nation, would still support
the prime minister of the day.
11
Dr Mahathir posted the entry after returning to Kubang Pasu in Kedah for the
first time since resigning as the divisional chief 14 years ago where he gave
an address at a breaking of fast ceremony in Kodiang.
Noting that there were many familiar faces among those who came to the
event, Dr Mahathir said he was sad to see many of them still in Umno.
The former prime minister, who ruled Malaysia from 1981-2003, was the
Kubang Pasu MP from 1974-2004.
The 91-year-old claimed that the present Umno has been hijacked by Najib
who is using the party as a shield for his crimes in 1Malaysia Development
Bhd (1MDB).
Repeating a message he has used during the ceramah trail, Dr Mahathir said
the party was no longer the party that defeated the Malayan Union and
achieved independence for Malaya in 1957.
Like Najib, many Umno members now worship money like king. They are
indirectly betraying the country and their religion. For sure they are betraying
the original Umno and the country will be doomed for supporting Najib.
Stop from betraying the real Umno. Reject Najib, resign from Umno and join
other movements to see him fall in the elections. Stop protecting this
destructive creature, he said.
Noting that there were many familiar faces among those who came to the
event, Dr Mahathir said he was sad to see many of them still in Umno.
According to him, Najib supporters accuse the opposition, including him, of
instigating the US Department of Justice (DoJ) investigation of 1MDB issues.
However, unlike Malaysia where its Prime Minister is giving out treats and
money to influence the actions and statements of government officials, the US
President also received reports on his own wrongdoings and was ousted from
office, he charged.
That was what happened to President Nixon through the Watergate scandal,
he added.
12
Accusing the opposition of influencing DoJ was a display of extraordinary
foolishness. The American ambassador had denied this.
All the crimes were committed in America, involving American banks and
assets under the American law called Kleptocracy Asset Recovery, he said.
We all know in Singapore several banks have lost their licence for being
involved in the 1MDB funds, and six people have been fined and jailed for
their involvement. Actions like this have destroyed the country, which was
once respected by the world, said Dr Mahathir, adding that now Malaysia has
been listed as one of the 10 most top corrupted countries.
