The course deals with the study of structural components and mechanisms
that control movement in various ways such as gear trains, belt or chain drives,
linkages, cam and follower systems, including brakes and clutches. This course
aims to equip the mechanical engineering students with the fundamentals of
these design activities and give them necessary skills to prepare complete,
concise, and accurate calculation steps for machine elements.
