LITTLE MIX

Little Mix is a female British pop band


formed in 2011 in The X Factor, consisting
of Perrie Edwards, Jesy Nelson, Leigh-
Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirlwall.
Its members were rejected as soloists.
Originally the group was called Rhythmix,
but because there was already a charitable
organization with the same name, it was
changed to Little Mix. During the show, the
quartersman was sponsored by Judge
Tulisa Contostavlos and sang different
songs like "E.T." by Katy Perry and "Do not
Stop the Music" by Rihanna. In the final,
they managed to outperform Marcus Collins and won the program, which made Little Mix the first
group to win it, so that other international recognition groups like One Direction and JLS failed.
After this, they released "Cannonball" as their first single, a version of Damien Rice and were able
to reach number one in the main UK and Irish charts.
It was not until July 2012 that Little Mix released "Wings," their first single of their own. The song
quickly debuted in the UK and Ireland charts.4 The two subsequent singles "DNA" and "Change
Your Life" did not give them more international recognition, but two top 15 more in the charts
British and Irish records.2 The album to which they belong, DNA, was well received in Australia,
Ireland, New Zealand and the United Kingdom, as it achieved positions ten, three, fourteen and
three on their respective lists.4 3 6 2 In addition, he received a gold record from ARIA and IRMA
for his good sales.7 8 On March 4, 2013, Little Mix revealed that "How Ya Doin '?" Would be the
fourth single from DNA.
The second studio album by Little Mix, Salute, was released on November 8, 2013 in Ireland and
November 11, 2013 in the UK. Little Mix worked with several producers, including TMS, Future
Cut, Fred Ball, Duvall, Jimmy Jam, and Terry Lewis. The group started working on the album in
June 2013 and finished in September 2013. . The album was largely written by Little Mix.
Musically, it retains the pop sound of its debut album, while deepening a more mature R & B
sound. On November 3, 2013, released "Move" the first single from the album. The quartet
composed it together with Maegan Cottone and
Nathan Duvall.9 Musically, the song moves
away from previous Little Mix works, with more
extravagant sounds and exploring a more
mature tone with R & B elements. The single
received its airplay in the UK on September 23,
2013, that same day became available for pre-
sale on iTunes. On November 1 an EP was
released with 5 official remixes of the song.10 It
was released for digital download on November
3, 2013.11 12 "Move" was ranked number two
in Scotland, three in the UK and five in Ireland .
It was certified gold in Australia for selling more
than 35,000 copies and silver in the UK for
selling over 300,000 copies.13 14 On November 21, 2013, Little Mix announced via YouTube that
Salute's next single would be "Little Me '.
In 2015 Little Mix released their third studio album Get Weird. Which became its highest of
success and the best-selling album to date in the UK. The first single from the album "Black
Magic" became the third single number one of the group in the UK and was also nominated for two
Brit Awards in 2016. In March 2016 the girls began their world tour The Get Weird Tour. In April
2016, the group has achieved three platinum albums and eight singles certified in the United
Kingdom and their album sales worldwide total more than 12 million.
