On07 /19 / 2077, at approximately 0820 hours, Ctrief Deputy Tim Besst arrived at the

l^atah County Sheriff's Detectivds Office. Chief Deputy Besst advised Sgt. ]osh Anderson,

Detective Hansen and I about a report made to the Lahh County Sheriff's Office at about

0811 hours. I.D. was reporting that her daughter, E.L. (age 17) andE.L.'s frien4 Z.W. (age

to and the campsite. Z.W. rode with me in my departsnent vehicle. There were already

several law enforcement units on scene when we arrived . Z.W. thought a particular area

tooked familiar as the area Tim's body was moved to. We stopped and got out of the

vehicle and walked down ttre road to the south. Z.W. showed me a section of the private

driveway that he believed was where Tim's body was taken to.

Z.W. artdl walked back up the road to the north where my vehicle was parked. I

was informed a couple of minutes later a body was found wrapped up in a white tarp by

Detectives from the Idaho State Police. Sgt. Josh Anderson was on scene and told me the

area Z.W. said Tim's body was located was the same location E.L. told him that she

believed Tim's body was located.

I walked north on the private driveway with Z.W. and two ISP Detectives to have

Z.W. show us the location of the abandoned residence they drove to before going to the

shop where they met up with Charlie. Approximately 100 yards to the north of the

campsite access road on the private driveway intersection there was a dirt road off to the

east of the private driveway road. Through the trees I could see an old residence. Z.W.

identified the residence and the driveway to the residence as the abandoned residence they

drove to. Later I was infonned by Sgt. |osh Anderson that upon a subsequent search of the

residence a 30.05 rifle matching the description given by Z.W. and E.L. was located inside

with an unspent 30.06 cartridge with blood on it.

I was informed by Sgt.]osh Andersion tlnt Z.W. led them to the location of the

campsite. I was totd by Sgt. |osh Anderson that they were able to locate the campsite with

Z.W .'s assistance. In the areaZ.W . said the white tarp was located Sgt. fosh Anderson told

me they located brain fragments and large areas of blood pooling. A gold and silver watch

with blood on it was located on the access road right by the campsite.

During my interview with E.L. she told me she contacted Keagan and Matt on |uly

18,2017, and told them to meet her and Z.W. at Rosauers in Moscow. E.L. said she told

Keagan and Matt they needed to talk because they were going to go to the cops and report

what happened. E.L. said she waited at Rosauers but Keagan and Matt never showed up

and they would not answer their phone. As otAZ / 19 / 20t7 , Matt and Keagan have not been

located. The last time they were seenwas by Matt's adoptive fattrer, Charlie McKetta, on

07/19/2077, at about 1100 hours. Charlie said Matt and Keagan stayed the night at his

residence,236 North Lieuallen Road in Moscow, and after they woke up on 07/19/2077,

they left the residence on fopt at about 1000 to 1100 hours.

Defendant ) INITIAL DETERMINATION OF
KEAGAN C. TENNANT ) PROBABLE CAUSE
04105t2000 )

Your affiant, the undersigned police offi@r, being first duly swom, deposes and
says under oath as follows:

1 Your affiant is a duly qualified peace officer serving with the Moscow Police
Department.

2. The above indicated defendant has been investigated for the crime of:
Robbery I.C. 186501

and your affiant asks that a Judge, after your affiant lays a complaint before him,
determine whether there is probable cause to believe that said offense has been
committed and that the defendant has committed it.

The facts upon which affiant relied in believing there is probable cause for said
arrest are:

On07ll9l20l7, at approximately 2235 hours I was dispatched to a robbery at902

North Almon St. The RP. Terrance S. Funderbr:rg stated his car was taken at
gunpoint after he delivered a piz.zato a nearby residence. I scanned the area in
route and arrived on scene approximately 1.5 minutes after the call came out.
Upon arrival, I spoke with Funderburg. Funderburg was standing near twoPiz.z.a
Hut car toppers which were on the ground, as well as apiwacarrying bag. I
asked him to tell me what happened.

Funderburg said he pulled into the parking lot to deliver aptzxato 904 N Almon
#2 andnoticed two males sitting on the north side of the parking lot near the
trees. Funderburg told me he delivered the ordered food to a Jayson Washington
in Unit #2 and was rehrming to his white Pontiac Grand Am, Idaho license number
1BX8758. ($2000.00 approximate value.) Funderburg said when he got near the

driver's side of the car, amale came around the side of a white S[rV, pulled a
black bandana over his face and pointed a gun at him.

Funderburg described the male as approximately 5'10', "kind of chunky." with

dark hair, wearing a black ball cap and jeans. He said the pistol was a matte
silver, small frame revolver. He said the male asked him for the keys to his
car and he gave them to him. When the male received the keys, he told
Funderbnrg to get on the ground. Funderbrng said he laid face down on the
asphalt between his car and the white SW. Funderburg said he could hear
another person behind him and the male with the gun said, uwhat you got on you."
Funderburg said he asked him what do you mean and the male replied, "money."
Funderburg told him he had about 15 dollars on him and the male said, "give it
to me." Funderburg got his wallet out and a second male took it. He
described the second male as approximately the sarne height as the first but
skinnier, with a higher pitched voice, wearing a black bandanna over his face, a
grey shirt and jeans and a black ball cap. Funderburg said the second male
removed the money from his wallet and placed the wallet on his back.

Funderburg said the second, thinner male took the keys, unlocked the doors of
the car and loaded something which sounded like two duffel bags into the back
seat. Funderburg said the thinner male removed the pirzahut toppers from the
car and placed them near him on the ground. The thirmer male entered the
driver's side and the heavier male entered the passenger side. Funderburg said
before they left, he asked them for his phone and the thinner male exited the
car, placed the phone on the hood of the white SW and reentered the car. He
said one of the males told him he would "have his car back in a week." Funderburg
said the two males seemed to struggle with the parking break for a moment and
then left, southbound on Almon St.

Funderburg said after they left, he got up and dialed 911.

Earlier in the night, at approximately 2100, duing our nightly shift briefing, I was
informed we were looking for two suspects in a murder case with Latatr County.
The two suspects were known to be Matthew J. Mcketta and Keagan C. Tennant.
(LCSO case number 2017-03863). Funderburg's description matched the
description of those two suspects.

On 0712412017 , at approximately 0900 hours, I spoke with Ferry County

Washington, Deputy Kersten. He explained on 0712112017, at approximately

,
o

1530 hours, he and other deputies discovered Funderburg's white Pontiac Crrand
AI{, Idatro license plate number lBX8758 on Bamber Creek Road, out of gas.
Dep.Kersten told me they found shoe prints leading from the vehicle into the
woods where Tennant and McKetta were found moments later.

Based on the above information, I am requesting charges for robbery on Mcketta

and Tennant.

I certiff (or declare) under penalty of perjury pursuant to the laws of the State of
Idaho that the foregoing is tnre and correct.

Matthew said Keagan got the keys to the Pontiac and some money from thepwza

delivery driver. Matthew said he put their bigs into the back seat of the vehicle and

On07 /19/20TT,atapproximately 0820hours, Chief DeputyTim Besstarrived atthe

Latah County Sheriff's Detective's Office. Chief Deputy Besst advised Sgt. |osh Anderson,

Detective Hansen and I about a report made to the L^atah County Sheriff's Office at about

0811 hours. f.D, was reporting that her daughter, E.L. (agel7)and E.L.'s friend, Z.W. (age

17) told her their friend, Timothy ]. Reeves (age 18), was accidentally shot and killed on

07 /17 /2017. I.D. said she was told two other males were also there at the time Timothy

was shot, Keagan C. Tennant (age 17) and Matt (who was later identified as Matthew f.

McKetta (age 18)).

At approximately 0903 hours,I.D., E.L. andZ.W. arrived at the Latah County

Sheriff's Detective's Office. Sgt. Josh Anderson asked if I would assist him with the
interview of E.L. andZ.W .. Sgt. Josh Anderson had E.L. come into the Detective's interview

room to speak with us while Z.W. and J.D. waited down the hall.

E.L. said she was at East City Park in Moscow, Idahq with Keagan, Timothy and

Z.W. onluly'l'6,2017. Th"y called Matt (unknown last name) to come and pick them up

because they were planning on going camping. E.L. said Matt's dad, Charlie and Matt

arrived at East City Park and picked them all up. E.L. said they drove out towards Troy,

Idaho and got to their camping spot on Nora Creek at approximately four or five in the

evening. E.L. said the next morning she was sleeping and when she woke up Keagan and

Tim were sitting across from each other and she heard Z.W. screaming and heard two shots

and when she rolled over she saw Tim lyiog on the ground with blood coming from his

mouth. E.L. said there was a 38 pistol and a rifle. E.L. said Tim had the pistol and Keagan

had the rifle.

E.L. said they went to look for Matt who left earlier in the morning before the

shooting to go get a 4x4 so they could go porcupine hunting. E.L. said she and Z.W . went

one way around the pond they were camping by and Keagan went the other way to go

look for Matt. E.L. said Z.W. and.her were afraid of getting lost so they doubled back and

walked back to the road that led into the camping spot and found Matt and Keagan on the

road. Matt and Keagan were in the 4x4 and Matt was driving. E.L. said they all drove back

to the campsite and Z.W. and her stayed at the 4x4 while Matt and Keagan went down to

the campsite to move Tim's body. E.L. said they wrapped Tim up in a white tarp they

were lyittg on before dumping him off of a cliff. E.L. said Tim was wearing blue jeans,

tennis shoes, an unknown t-shirt and an unbuttoned flannel white and black shirt. E.L. said

Tim had a carno back pack with his clothes and stuff inside.,

Sgt. Josh Andersonasked E.L. whatthey didwiththeguns. E.L. said Keaganhad the

rifle and shot Tim. It was very difficult to follow E.L., she was very upset and crying while

she was tellingus whathad happened and shewas jumpingaroundalotinthesequenceof

what happened.

I asked E.L. to draw a picture of the campsite. Sgt. |osh Anderson was looking at the

picture as she was drawing. E.L. said when they drove back to the campsite Matt and

Keagan loaded Tim's body into the back of the 4x4. Keagan rode in the back with Tim's

body, Matt drove and she and Z.W. rode in the front seat next to Matt. E.L. said they drove

to where they dumped the body and then they drove back to the campsite and Matt picked

up all of Tim'.s property and they drove over to an abandoned building and Matt put Tim's

property in the building. E.L. said they all drove to Charlie's shop and met with Charlie.

E.L. said they told Charlie Tim,got a ride with someone else and left. E.L. was still very

upset and she was crying and said she felt very bad about not reporting what happened

when it happened.

Detective Hansen came into the interview room and asked to speak with me. Sgt.

Josh Anderson told me to advise E.L. of her Miranda Righe and continue the interview. I

went back into the interview room and verbally explained to E.L. her Miranda Rights. I

asked E.L. il she understood her rights as I explained them and she said she did. I was

having trouble following the chain of events as E.L. had described them earlier so I told her

I wanted to start from the beginning.

E.L. said on Sundiy 07/76/20\7, she was in Coltorg Washington, and she was

picked up by her friend, Kenzie Delong. E.L. said Keagan Tennant was with Kenzie when

they stopped in Colton to pick her up because Keagan was staying with Kenzie. E.L. said

Kenzie drove Keaganand hertoPullman,Washington, and theystoppedatMcDonaldsfor

food and then drove to Sage's residence on Wheeler Road in the Pullman area.

E.L. said they made plans at Sage's residence to go camping. Sage did not want to go

and did not want to stay at her residence because she had been fighting with Tim. E.L. said

Kenzie drove Keagan, Tim and her to East City Park in Moscow, Idaho. E.L. said she spoke

with Z.W. over the phone, who was on his way from Sandpoint, Idaho. Z.W. wanted to

know where to meet them at in Moscow. E.L. said Z.W . didnot know where East City Park

was so they made.urangements to meet Z.W. atthe Varsity Diner on the corner of Third

Street and |ackson Street in Moscow. I asked how Z.W. got to the diner. E.L. said he got a

ride from his grandparents whowere driving through Moscow and dropped him off. E.L.

INTTIAL DETERMINATION OF

said she walked down to the diner with Tim to meet with 2.W.. After they met with Z.W.

they walked back to East City Park where Keagan was still waiting. I asked E.L. what time

they were in Moscow at the park. E.L. said she did not know the exact time because her cell

phone battery died, but she thought it was sometime during the afternoon.

E.L. said Matt arrived with his dad, Charlie, in a blue Ford Pickup. They loaded- up

all of their camping gear into the pickup and got into the pickup. Charlie drove thern over

to his residence and went inside the residence with Matt to retrieve food and other

camping supplies and a tarp. Charlie drove them through Troy, Idaho.

S4. Josh Andersoname into the intenriew room and asked if I could identify where

the incident took place. I had E.L. came back to my desk and I pulled up Google Maps. On

the map E.L. told me and showed me on the map that they tirrned onto Nora Creek Road

and the location of the campsite. The area E.L. showed me was accessed by a driveway and

an access road to the left. Charlie drove them down the access road through a locked gate

to a pond with a campsite next to the pond. E.L. pointed out the campsite which was

located on the east side of the pond. E.L. said there was a fire pit at the campsite. I asked

where they took Tim's body. The locationE.L. showedmewhere they tookTim'sbodywas

about half way between the Nora Creek Road and the private driveway intersection and

the turn off to the campsite and the private driveway intersection. E.L. said the body was

taken off of the east side of the private driveway roadway into the woods. E.L. said she

believes the land where they camped belongs to Charlie and we would need a key to get

past the locked gate.

I asked E.L. to describe the 4x4. E.L. said it was a "Mule" and it was red and blue. I

asked her if it was a U'fV and she said, "Yeah.' E.L. said there was a pickup bed on the

back of the UTV and one front bench seat.

Shortly after arriving at the campsite Charlie left. E.L. said they set up the campsite

and Keagan and Tim left to walk around and hunt for porcupines with two BB guns they

brought with them. E.L. said she was h"rg*g out at the campsite with Z.W.and Matt for a

while and then Matt left. E.L. said Keagan and Tim came back to the campsite and

sometime after it was dark Matt arrived back at the campsite with a Katana Sword, a 30.06

rifle, red cans of beer in a red box and marijuana. E.L. described the rifle as a bolt action

with a brown wood stock with black barrel and action. E.L. described the pistol as a silver

.38 revolver with silver gnps. E.L. described the pistol as having a barrel about four or five

inches long. I asked where the pistol cEune from and E.L. said Matt had it with him from the

beginning. I asked E.L. when she first saw the pistol and E.L. said she first saw the pistol

Sunday night. E.L. said she smoked some of the marijuana but did not drink any of the

beer.

E.L. said everybody went to bed and it was pretty late at night. I showed E.L. the

picture she drew and she said it was a depiction of where everybody was the morning they

woke up on Monday (07 /17 /17). The pichue showed the tarp ttrat she was sleeping on was

to the north of the fire pit. E.L.'s picture showed the tarp as a square. She showed her

location as being towards the north side of the tarp and Tim at the southeast portion of the

tarp and Keagan was off of the tarp by the southwest corner of the tarp.

I asked E.L. to tell me what the first thing she remembered when she woke up on

Monday morning. E.L. said she was not sure because she could not remember hearing a

gun shot. E.L. thought she was woken up by Z.W. yelling. E.L. then said she heard a

gunshot and then saw Keagan point the 30.06 at Z.W.and fire another round towards

2.W.. E.L. said she was screaming and then Keagan put down the rifle next to him and

started saying over and over agairy ')I'm so sorry." E.L. said Z.W .was running away from

Keagan when Keagan was shooting at him but then he returned to the tarp.

I asked what happened when Z.W. came back to the tarp. E.L. said she was told by

Z.W. that Tim was pointing the pistol towards Keagan and was telling Keagan, "Jump

nigger jrmp" right before Keagan shot him. E.L. said when Z.W.came back he took the

pistol which was resting on Tirnis chest. E.L. said they were very afraid of Keagan and

Z.W. took the pistol because he was afraid of what Keagan might do. E.L. said she went

with Z,W. around the north side of the pond and Keagan went around the south side to

look for Matt. E.L. said Z,W, and her met Matt on the access road they used to get to the

carnpsite. Matt was driving the UTV and Keagan was with Matt on the UTV. E.L. said they

drove back to the campsite and Matt and Keagan said they were going to move Tim's

body. E.L. said she and Zackwalked to the north of the campsite a little ways to go to some

shade and she wanted to comfortz.W. because he was very upset.

E.L. said Matt and Keagan told them they had loaded up Tim in the UTV and they

walked back to the UTV. E.L. said she did not look in the back of the UTV but knew Tim's

body was back there because she was told Tim's body was back there. E.L. said they drove

to the area she previously described. E.L. said when they stopped she walked down the

road and did not see Matt and Keagan unload Tim's body. E.L. said Matt and Keagan told

her they unloaded the body and everyone gotback into the UTV and they drove back to

the campsite. I asked E.L. if there was anything in the back of the UTV. E.L. said she knew

they unloaded the body because there was nothing in the back of the UTV.

E.L. said Matt walked down to the campsite and packed up Tim's backpack and

some blankets that had blood on thern. E.L. said all of thern got back into the UTV and

drove to an abandoned house and Matt put Tim's property in the house. I asked if they

kept anything of Tim's. E.L, said Keagan put a bloody watch that belonged to Tim on top of

the UTV. E.L. said she and Z.W . have Tint's wallet and his cigarette case and they are at her

residence.

E.L. said everyone went back to the campsite. E.L. said Z.W. and her grabbed their

stuff and they all drove back to Charlids shop. E.L. said Z.W . and her got a ride back to the

shop. E.L. said she never mentioned anything about Tim to Charlie and said Matt told

Charlie at the shop that Tim got a ride from friends.

I walked E.L. back to where |.D. and Z.W. were waiting down the hall and had Z.W.

come to. the interview room. I advised Z.W. of his Miranda Rights and asked if he
understood his rights as I explained them. Z.W. said he did. I told Z.W. the door was

unlocked and he was free to leave at anytime.

Z.W. said,he made arrangements to meet E.L. at the Varsity Dirurer on07/1,6/2017.

Z.W. saidhe got a ride with his grandparents from Sandpoin! Idaho down to Moscow.

While speaking with Z.W. Sgt. Josh Anderson called me and asked me to get additional

information on the location Tim's body was dropped off. Z.W. said Tim's body was on the

east side of the private driveway . Z.W.was having trouble describing the location and said

he would take us to the location where Tim's body was moved to.

Z.W. said he met Tim and E.L. at the Varsity Diner and they walked to East City

Park where Keagan was waiting for them. Z.W. said Matt and Charlie arrived at the park

and picked them up; Prior to that day Z.W. said he had never met Charlie or Matt. Charlie

drove them to Charlie's residence and they picked up food. I asked what else they picked

up at Charlie's andZ.W. said he was inside the pickup so he was not sure. Z.W. said there

were two air rifles in the pickup when he got in at East City Park. After they left Charlie's

to their campfire. To get to the campsite Z.W. said they went down a gravel road and

tumed left onto a dirt road. The dirt road had a yellow gate that was locked. Charlie

opened the gate and drove them down to the campsite. Charlie said he would back in the

morning to see how they were doing and left.

Z.W. satd the campsite had a fire ring with a wooden bench next to the camp fire

rng.Z.W.said the campsite was right next to a pond, about twenty teet.Z.W.said he and

E.L. slept on a tarp that they got from Charlie's pickup. I asked what happened Sunday

night. Z.W. said they got drunk and stoned. I asked where the beer c.une from and he said

he believed Matt brought it. Z.W. described the beer as red cans. I asked what they got

stoned off of. Z.W. said Matt brought marijuana that they were smoking in a glass pipe.

Z.W. said E.L. did not drink any of the beer and he did not see her smoke any of the

marijuana.Z.W.was notsurewhattime everyonewenttobed because he did nothavehis

the tarp. Z.W. said the tarp was not at the camp fire but was only a short distance away.

Z.W. said the tarp was in clear view of the camp fire. Z.W. said Keagan and Matt slept by

the fire pit.

I asked Z.W . what was the first thing he remembered when he woke up on Monday

bowl. Z.W. said he took a couple of hits off of the pipe and went back to sleep. Z.W. was

woken up again by Tim and Tim said if they didr/t wake up they were going to fire the

guns so they would wake up. I asked if Tim, Matt and Keagan had been smoking or

drinking when he woke up. Z.W. said they finished all of the beer the night before. Z.W.

said the second time he woke up the pipe he was smoking mariiuana out of the first time he

dressed. Z.W. walked over to the fire pit and smoked marijuana with Matt, Tim and

Keagan. Z.W. said Matt left to go get the UTV so they could go hunting for porcupines.

I asked Z.W. to tell me about the guns. Z.W. said there were two air rifles and two

real guns. I asked Z.W. to tell me about the two real guns. Z.W. said there was a silver .38

revolver pistol with black grips. I asked who brought the pistol andZ.W. said all of the

guns belonged to Matt except for one of the air rifles that was Keagan's. Z.W. said there

was also a 30.06 bolt action rifle with a brown wood stock that covered most of the barrel.

Z.W. said he first saw the pistol on Sunday night. Z.W. fkst remembers seeing the 30.06

they moved over to the tarp, where E.L. was still sleeping. Z.W. described to me where

Tim, Keagan, E.L. and him were located in relation to the tarp by drawing a picture of the

layout of the campsite. Z.W. saidE.L. was sleeping on the northern portion of the tarp and

Keagan was sitting on the ground by the southwest corner of the tarp. Tim was sitting on

the ground on the southwest corner of the tarp facing Keagan. Z.W.said he was about a

foot to the west of Tim facing towards Keagan. Z.W. said Keagan and Tim were playing

around with the guns, like Russian roulette. Z.W. said the guns were unloaded but at some

point they loaded the pistol and rifle. Z.W. saidthere was only one round in the pistol and

he thinks Keagan had three or four rounds loaded in the nfle.Z.W. was loading the glass

pipe with marijuana while Tim and Keagan were messing around with the guns. Z.W. satd

Keagan had the rifle and Tim had the pistol and they were pointing them at each other.

Z.W. said he heard Tim tell Keagan, "You feeling frogry nigger, jump nigger jump ." Z.W .

said Tim didn't finish the last "lump" when the rifle went of!..2.W. said the round went

Z.W. saidhe got up and started walking towards the fire when he heard another gun shot

Tim's chest and put it in his backpack. Z.W. said they agreed to go find Matt but E.L. and

him did not want to be with Keagan so they had Keagan go in the opposite direction as

them. Z.W. said he was getting lost so E.L. and he headed back to the access road that led

to the campsite because they knew it led out back to the main road . Z.W.said if they could

they were met by Matt and Keagan in the UTV (Mule). I asked what was said when they

just watched Tim get shot and the rifle used by Keagan was in the UTV. Z.W. said E.L. and

him rode back to the campsite with Matt and Keagan.Z.W. said he stayed in the UTV and

did not want to go back to the campsite because he did not want to see Tim's body. Z.W.

body. Z.W. said Matt and Keagan wrapped Tim's body up in the white tarp he and E.L.

used to sleep on. Z.W. said Matt and Keagan couldn't carry Tim's body up the
embankment to the UTV so they wrapped a rope around his legs and pulled him up to the

access from the campsite by using the UTV winch. Z.W. saidthey put Tim's body into the

back of the UTV. Z.W.said they drove back towards the shop on the private driveway

road. Z.W. said they stopped on the private driveway a little ways before reaching the

main road. Z.W. aidhe saw Tinrls body in the back of the UTV and told Tim bye and then

walked down towards E.L. to check on her. I asked if he saw Matt and Keagan remove

Tim's body from the UTV and he said, "Yeah, I saw his head hit the ground." Z.W. said

Matt and Keagan removed Tim's body from the UTV and drug him down into the woods

on the east side of the private driveway road.

Z.W. said they went back to the campsite and E.L. and Z.W. gathered their stuff and

went back to Charlie's shop. I asked about Tim's stuff. Z.W. said it should be in a c.uno

backpack. Z.W. said he thought Matt and Keagan were going to burn all of Tim's stuff.

Z.W.saidhe heard Mattand Keagansaytheywantedto burneverythingthathadbloodon

it. I asked if he left anything at the campsite that Keagan and Matt were going to burn.

Z.W. said he had a comforter that was black on one side and gray on the other that was

used to cover Tim's body. I asked if he had anything of Tim's. Z.W. said he had Tim's

wallet. I asked Z.W . about the abandoned house. Z.W. said they stopped at the abandoned

house as they were leaving to go to Chartie's shop. Z.W. said,he was smoking a cigarette

and then he smoked marijuana with Matt before leaving to go to Charlie's shop. Z.W. said

E.L. and him got a ride from Charlie to the Pullman Public Library in Pullman,

Washington.

I told Z.W.I wanted to have him show me the location that Tim's body was moved

to and the campsite. Z.W. rode with me in my deparfinent vehicle. There were already

several law enforcement units on scene when we arrived . Z.W . thought a particular area

looked familiar as the area Tim's body was moved to. We stopped and got out of the

vehicle and walked down the road to the south. Z.W.showed me a section of the private

driveway that he believed was where Tim's body was taken to.

Z.W. andl walked back up the road to the north where my vehicle was parked. I

was informed a couple of minutes later a body was found wrapped up in a white tarp by

Detectives from the Idaho State Police. Sgt. Josh Anderson was on scene and told me the

arca Z.W. said Tim's body was located was the same location E.L. told him that she

believed Tim's body was located.

identified the residence and the driveway to the residence as the abandoned residence they

drove to. later I was informed by SSt.Josh Anderson that upon a subsequent search of the

residence a 30.06 rifle matching the description given by Z.W. and E.L. was located inside

with an urupent 30.06 cartridge with blood on it.

I was informed by Sgt. Josh Anderson that Z.W.led them to the location of the

campsite. I was told by Sgt. Josh Anderson that they were able to locate the campsite with

Z.W.'sassistance. In the areaZ.W.said the white tarp was located Sgt. |osh Anderson told

me they located brainfragments and largeareas of blood pooling. A gold and silverwatch

with blood on it was located on the access road right by the campsite.

During my interview with E.L. she told me she contacted Keagan and Matt on July

78,2017, and told them to meet her and Z.W. at Rosauers in Moscow. E.L. said she told

Keagan and Matt they needed to talk because they were going to go to the cops and report

what happened. E.L. said she waited at Rosauers but Keagan and Matt never showed up

and they would not answer their phone. As of 07 / 19 / 2m7 , Matt and Keagan have not been

located. The last time they were seen was by Matt's adoptive father, Charlie McKetta, on

07/19/2077, at abr:rut 1100 hours. Charlie said Matt and Keagan stayed the night at his

residence, 236 North Lieuallen Road in Moscow, and after they woke up on 07/19/2017,

Your affiant, the undersigned police officer, being first duly sworn, deposes and
says under oath as follows:

1 Your affiant is a duly qualified peace officer serving with the Moscow Police
Department.

2. The above indicated defendant has been investigated for the crime of:
Robbery l.C. 18-6501

and your affiant asks that a Judge, after your affiant lays a complaint before him,
determine whether there is probable cause to believe that said offense has been
committed and that the defendant has committed it.

The facts upon which affiant relied in believing there is probable cause for said
arrest are:

On07ll9l20l7, at approximately 2235 hours I was dispatched to a robbery at902

North Almon St. The RP. Terrance S. Funderburg stated his car was taken at
gunpoint after he delivered a piztato a nearby residence. I scanned the area in
route and arrived on scene approximately 1.5 minutes after the call came out.
Upon arrival,I spoJ<e with Funderburg. Funderburg was standing near two Pizza
Hut car toppprs-which were on the ground, as well as apiz:zacarrying bag. I
asked him to tell me what happened.

Funderburg said he pulled into the parking lot to deliver apizza to 904 N Almon
#2 andnoticed two males sitting on the north side of the parking lot near the
trees. Funderburg told me he delivered the ordered food to a Jayson Washington
in Unit #2 andwas returning,to his white Pontiac Grand Am, Idaho license number
1BX8758.,($2000.00 approx, imate value.) Funderburg said when he got near the

driver's side of the car, a male came around the side of a white SUV, pulled a
black bandana over his face and pointed a gun at him.

Funderburg described the male as approximately 5'10", "kind of chunky." with

dark hair, wearing a black ball cap and jeans. He said the pistol was a matte
silver, small frame revolver. He said the male asked him for the keys to his
car and he gave them to him. When the male received the keys, he told
Funderburg to get on the ground. Funderburg said he laid face down on the
asphalt between his car and the white SW. Funderburg said he could hear
another person behind him and the male with the gun said, "what you got on you."
Funderburg said he asked him what do you mean and the male replied, "money."
Funderburg told him he had about 15 dollars on him and the male said, "give it
to me." Funderburg got his wallet out and a second male took it. He
described the second male as approximately the same height as the first but
skinnier, with a higher pitched voice, wearing a black bandanna over his face, a
grey shirt and jeans and a black ball cap. Funderburg said the second male
repoved the money from his wallet and placed the wallet on his back.

Funderburg said the second, thinner male took the keys, unlocked the doors of
thg car and loaded something which sounded like two duffel bags into the back
seat. Funderburg said the thinner male removed the pizza hut toppers from the
car and placed them near him on the ground. The thinner male entered the
driver's side and the heavier male entered the passenger side. Funderburg said
before they left, he asked them for his phone and the thinner male exited the
car, placed the phone on the hood of the white SW and reentered the car. He
said one of the males, told, him he would "have his car back in a week." Funderburg
said the two males seemefl to struggle with the parking break for a moment and
then left, southloupdlon Almon St.

Funderburg sai{ a$er they left, he got up and dialed 911.

Earlier in the' at 2100, during our nightly shift briefing, I was

informed we -*ere for two suspects in a murder case with Latah County.
The two suspects were known to be Matthew J. Mcketta and Keagan C. Tennant.
(LCSO case numbpr 2017-03863). Funderburg's description matched the
dgscription of fhosg two suspects.

On0 lt7'' spoke with Ferry County

07 l2l 12017, at approximately

o
1530 hours, he and other deputies discovered Funderburg's white Pontiac Grand
AM, Idaho license plate number lBX8758 on Bamber Creek Road, out of gas.
Dep.Kersten told me they found shoe prints leading from the vehicle into the
woods where Tennant and McKetta were found moments later.

Based on the above information, I am requesting charges for robbery on Mcketta

and Tennant.

The facts upon which Affiant relies in believing there is probable cause for said

On07 /21,/2077, at approximately 2130 hours, Sgt.Josh Anderson and I arrived at

the Ferry County Sheriff's Office, 175 North |efferson Sfieet,.Republic, Ferry County,

Washington. Sgt. Josh Anderson and I were at the Ferry County Sheriff's Office to speak

with Matthew McKetta (age 18) and Keagan Tennant (age77). Matthew and Keagan were

arrested by the Ferry County Sheriff's Office on arrest warrants out of Latah County and

were being held at the Ferry County Sheriff's Office on those warrants waiting for

extradition processing back to Latah County, Idaho.

At approximately 2742hours, Matthew was brought into an office in the jail for Sgt.

]osh Anderson and me to interview him. Sgt. fosh Anderson and I wanted to speak with

Matthew about his involvement with the death of Timothy Reeves. After the reporting of

SUPPLEMENTAL AFFIDAVIT OF

Timothy's death the Latah County Sheriff's Oftice was looking for Matthew and Keagan.

On the night of 07 / 19 / 2017 , atapproxima tely 2235 hours, I heard over the radio that two

white males armed with a pistol robbed a male of the money he had in his wallet and his

white Pontiac sedan. I advised Matthew he was being recorded and advised him of his

Miranda Rights. Matthew agreed to speak with me.

On07/lg/2}l7,Matthew told me Keagan got a text stating law enforcement was

looking for him. Matthew said Keagan and him left his parent's residenc e, 236 North

Lieuallen Street, Moscow, Idaho. Matthew said Keagan had a red duffle bag and Matthew

had a small green backpack and a black duffle bag. Matthew said Keagan and him stayed

at the water tower park until it got dark. After it was dark they r4ade their way down to an

area in Moscow by a gymnastics business. Given the area Matthew was describing I believe

Matthew was talking about Palouse Empire Gymnastics Inc., 810 North Almon Street #B,

in Moscow. Matthew said Keagan stole a white Pontiac Grand Prix from a Pizza Hut

delivery driver. Matthew said it was the same vehicle law enforcement found at the Jobs

Corp. Center. Matthewsaid Keaganwentupbehind thepizzadeliverydriverasheopened

the door to the vehicle and pointed a .38 revolver at the pizza delivery driver. Matthew

said the driver got on the ground face first. Matthew said the revolver was unloaded

because he unloaded it the night before, Matthew said it was the same pistol he previously

described during the interview, which was a silver Smith & Wesson revolver, .38 caliber

with black Sips.

Matthew said Keagan got the keys to the Pontiac and some money from thepizza

delivery driver. Matthew said he put their bags into the back seat of the vehicle and

removed thePizzaHut delivery sign from the top of the Pontiac. I asked Matthew who got

into the driver's seat and who got into the passenger seat. Matthew said he did all of the

driving. Matthew said they drove toSpokane,Washingtonandthendrovenorth. Matthew

said Keagan told him where to drive and led him up to the school where Keagan used to

go to that school (Jqbs Corp.). Matthew said they had to park the vehicle at the school

because they ran out of gas.

I asked Matthew if the pizz.adelivery driver saw their faces. Matthew said Keagan

and him were wearing masks made out of pieces of one of Keagan's shirt which were dark

blueish.

At approximately 2334 hours, Keagan was brought into the office for Sgt. Josh

Anderson and I to interview. I advised Keagan he was being recorded and I advised him of

his Miranda Rights. Keagan agreed to speak with me.

Keagan said he got a text message on 07 /79/2077, trom someone he identified as

Alyssa. Alyssa told him law enforcement was looking for him and Matthew. Keagan said

he stayed overnight at Matthew's parent's residence in Moscow. Keagan said he panicked

and him and Matthew packed a couple of bags and left the residence. Keagan said he had a

red duffle bag and Matthew had a black duffle bag and a green backpack. Th"y walked up

to the water tower park by Matthew's parent's house and waited for it to get dark. After it
was dark Matthew and him walked down to the trailer park behind the Rosauers Grocery

Store. Keagan said Matthew and him saw a PizzaHut delivery driver making a delivery at

a residence. Keagan and him made masks out of an old shirt of his and covered their faces.

Keagan said he approached the pizza delivery driver as he was coming back to his white

four door sedan. Keagan said the vehicle was the same one that law enforcement found in

the area they were caught and taken into custody. Keagan told the driver to give him his

keys. Keagan said the delivery driver gave him the keys to the vehicle because he had a

fixed blade black handled Buck knife with stainless steel blade. Keagan said they also took

all of the pizzadelivery driver's cash from his wallet. Keagan said they drove the vehicle to

Spokane, Washington and then they drove towards Canada. Keagan said they ran out of

gas and parked at the |obs Corp. center. I told Keagan we knew there was a pistol and that

they had it when they stole the vehicle. Keagan admitted to me that they did have a pistol.

Keagan said they broke apart the pistol and threw it in the woods by were they were taken

into custody. Keagan said he used the pistol to rob the pizz.a delivery driver. Keagan said

he told the pizzadelivery driver they did not want his life and then told him to get onto the

ground.
