GS Strategy Group conducted a poll July 16-18, 2017 among 500 likely GOP primary voters in
Indiana, statewide. The poll produced a margin of error of +/- 4.38% at the 95% confidence
level. Below are some key findings from that research.

CANDIDATE IMAGE RATINGS

In a potential Indiana GOP Senate Primary race, Todd Rokita would start with a name ID lead
over Luke Messer.

UNITED STATES SENATE BALLOT

That early name ID lead for Rokita translates into an early advantage on potential Republican
Primary ballots for U.S. Senate. Messer enters that race down by nearly double-digits both in
a head-to-head matchup with Rokita and when other candidates are included.

EVAN BAYH AND LUKE MESSER
Hoosiers want representatives in Congress who actually lives in Indiana and arent beholden to
special interests. When it is pointed out that Luke Messer and Evan Bayh both sold their
Indiana homes to move to Washington, DC and enriched themselves as lobbyists, its not
surprising Indiana GOP primary voters reject Messer as their candidate, with over 60% saying
they are less likely to vote for him.
