 Blood Donation app
1. Introduction
The app I want to design will aim to help promote blood donation. I plan on going about it by
incorporating different blood centers so that they can advertise their respective sites and benefit
the health and wellness community as a whole. There will also be a section with an interactive
mock questionnaire that will let people know if they are legally eligible to donate blood.
However, the app will further relate to social justice by informing people that are not eligible why
they cannot donate, and referring them to organizations that may be trying to update the blood
donor laws to be fairer.
2. Problem Statement in existing System
Many hospitals throughout the Pakistan are struggling to keep a sufficient supply of whole blood
and blood products on hand. There is no substitute for blood and the increasing demand and
decreasing supply has put many patients in jeopardy.

The increased demands are a result of a rising number of admissions and increased use of blood
transfusions in major surgery. The reasons for the decreasing donations are many and varied.
Among them are: a shift in urban populations with a loosening of family ties and friendships;
more patients who have families who may be too ill or infirm to donate; an increase in individual
prosperity, allowing patients to pay for the blood rather than replace it; and also there exists a
basic widespread unwillingness to donate.

Another problem that is often encountered is the possible lack of type specific blood. Unless in an
extreme emergency, the ideal practice is to administer type specific blood. While the lack of
blood is not widespread, the lack of type specific blood is occasionally a problem. Why is this
potential problem? As stated earlier, requirements for fresh blood continue to increase due to
surgical procedure advancements. While needs increase, the same 3% - 4% of the population
continue to be the only people voluntarily donating their blood.

3. Proposed system
As we have seen that there is limitation in the existing system like there are more requirements
of manpower extra clerical work. Also there is possibility of errors while entering the
information. So we have tried to implement a proposed system which is automated. In which we
dont have to maintain separate record of different donors which was very tedious and time
consuming in the manual system.

 4. SCOPE OF SYSTEM
The project gives all the necessary information. About the donors that are needed to the
doctors.
Doctors can find the donor whenever required at right time.
Provides attractive and user friendly screens.
Our project is easy to handle i.e. any invoice Person can operate the project because of
the user friendly facilities provide.

6. Expected Outcome
After this app existing in the environment citizen register online and get the information about
blood donor. Its provided a platform between the bloods needed and blood donor. This app
provides the facilities of SMS and CALL alert to the users and also get the feedback.
