P Activity For this activity I would set up an interactive science

e experiment that shows how different materials
d interact with water. For the first experiment I would
a test liquids. I would show the students three cups full
g of water and three different cups full of other
o substances such as oil, vinegar, and soda. Ask for
g volunteers to pour the liquid to get them involved. For
y the other experiment I would show how some solids
dissolve in water while others dont. I would include a
vitamin c tablet, gummy bear, and ice cube. I could
also test this with hot water and time each experiment
to see if the substance dissolves faster in cold or hot
water. After we do the experiment together in class,
the children are required to create a poster on the
information they have learned. After the experiment,
the students should know some examples of solids
and liquids that are soluble and insoluble in water.
T Technology The web 2.0 tool I would choose would be Glogster.
e This is an interactive website that allows students to
c create their own poster online. This eliminates the
h cost of supplies for a poster and allows the student to
n let their creativity shine. The poster can easily be
o saved and shared among teachers and students.

g Directions for Use For this tool I would require at least 5 pictures to be
y posted on their poster. These pictures can be found
online or even pictures that were taken during class.
(Class Dojo is a great tool to include parents in their
students daily activities by sharing pictures and videos
throughout the day). The student could even replicate
the experiment and create their own at home using
the same or different substances. Definitions,
procedure, as well as the conclusion/findings should
be included.
