We believe that:
Life skills, including higher order of thinking, needs to result in
an inquiry-based teaching and learning.
A strong and positive support system should be established
between parents, community and the school.

Goals of our School Improvement Plan
How we arrived at our goals:
Collected, interpreted and evaluated data
from the SOL testing to find student
achievement needs.
We looked at our school discipline data and
found a need to make some improvements
in this area.
Inquiry based learning is part of our mission
so we are moving forward with
implementing more technology and
STEM/STEAM learning.
Goals of School Improvement Plan
2017-18

1. Optimize the academic growth and achievement of

every student with a focus on improving reading with
the students with disabilities.

2. Seek new and better ways to optimize the learning

experience and engagement for every student.

3. Reduce the number of classroom/office referrals and

suspensions.

suspensions.
