To apply to the program, I (a BC resident) must have a university grade average of 75% or higher,
must have 90 university credits (around 3 years), and my English in IB must be HL and above 5.
Then I also need to take the Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT), and have a minimum score
of 124. I do not need to apply for med school right away, as the MCAT score lasts 4 years.

I can expect to learn Subjects important to the practice of medicine in the first two years, as
UBCs website puts it. In the third and fourth years, I would be working/learning at hospitals by
experience, such as looking into patients.
After I have completed this program what future employment and career opportunities
exist?
Technically speaking, the only career opportunity I get by completing the MD Undergraduate
Program alone is taking a residency, in which in BC have a first-year salary of $48k. However,
choosing family medicine, I only need to take 2 years of residency, in which after, I can work at a
hospital or a medical clinic for a salary between $50k and $150k.
