Key Academic Projects

Seismic Analysis and Design of Buildings. Analysed a four storey residential building using
Equivalent Static Analysis and Response Spectrum Analysis as per IS 1893 (Part 1):2002. Designed
the beams and columns as per IS 456:200 using working stress method.
Handbook of Typified Designs for Structures with Steel Roof Trusses. Converted the design
tables of SP: 38 from working stress method to Limit State Method as per IS 800:2007. Designed the
truss members, purlins, columns, foundations. Developed analysis and design modules for steel
members using Excel spreadsheets.
Urban Seismic Risk Assessment. Implemented methods of Seismic hazard assessment and
vulnerability assessment of structures. Considered seismic source data for actual and scenario
earthquake. Predicted peak ground acceleration using attenuation relationships and studied the effect
of local site parameters on it. Updated risk assessment system RISK.iitb on .NET platform
incorporating the latest advancements.
