Abhishek Vaddadi
Abhishek hails from Visakhapatnam; he is pursuing MSc
(tech) Finance at BITS Pilani. He is Project Coordinator of
Rural Employment Incubator at NIRMAAN that works on
developing sustainable Business plans for the rural
masses. He loves reading fiction, playing tennis,
photography, painting and an ardent fan of A.R.Rahman.
He is an exuberant traveller and a perfectionist. He is an
aspiring civil servant and aims to be a social entrepreneur.

Akshat Shukla
Akshat Shukla completed Electronics & Communication
Engineering from NIT(J). He has developed a keen interest
in rural development while working on projects for
Mondialogo, SIFE and a start-up offering consulting
services to social ventures. Being firm believers in the
potential of the youth to transform society, his friends and
he founded a student body to gain a better understanding
of rural India and to provide engineering students a
platform to develop innovative solutions for rural society.

Anurag Gumber
Anurag is pursuing engineering from BITS pilani. He has
discovered interest in photography, event organization,
working towards social reforms and renewable energy. In
the near future, he hopes to travel to various corners of
India and realize different cultures and interact with those
people and understand their needs. With that knowledge,
he would like to set upon himself the target of bringing
about social reforms for the betterment and development
of the country as a whole.

Arvind Sastry
Arvind did his Bachelors in Mechanical engineering from
MIT, Manipal. He did his research work in Ulm on
Heliocentris fuel cell science kit and Battery testing. He
loves travelling and he has seen many European countries.
He is very passionate about photography and he loves
reading books. Arvind also likes music and he has been a
DJ at many parties. His goal now is to provide affordable
energy services for the poor from sustainable energy
sources using innovative combinations of technology and
finance.

Gargi Maheshwari
Gargi is pursuing M.Sc.(Hons) Physics at BITS-Pilani. She is
a member of the Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership
(CEL) and the Department of Sponsorship and Marketing.
An ardent lover of physics, photography, travelling and all
sorts of sports, she likes to spend her free time reading
articles and watching documentaries. She tends to
develop completely random interests. She likes to believe
that with the right attitude, there is nothing that cannot
be done.

Kriti Malhotra
Kriti is from New Delhi, currently pursuing B.A Political
Science Hons from Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi
University. She believes in active citizenry, she has worked
with Naz foundation. She has worked for LFT-
Leaders4Tomorrow, to organise weekly events like adopt a
plant campaigns, rallies, panel discussions, documentary
screenings and yearly fest based on UN MDGs. She would
like to pursue Development studies in future.

Manu Badiger
Manu is a BBM graduate(2010), specialized in Finance. He
initiated SAVE LIVES a pro-active blood donation and
blood grouping program in Hubli and Dharwad with the
support of Dr R B Patil Cancer hospital, Hubli and Red
Cross Dharwad. They were successful in donating 700
units of blood with the help of donors in the year 2009
and 315 units till April/2010. He worked as a core team
member for Deshpande Foundation. Travelling,
Photography and Music are his fields of interest.

Mithun Madhusudhan
Mithun completed engineering from the IIT Kharagpur. At
IIT, he was involved in loads of extracurricular activities,
including dramatics, sports and debate. He is also the
Executive Editor of the campus newspaper, The Scholars'
Avenue. He looks forward to the Grassroutes fellowship
as a medium to push him out of his comfort zone, and
help broaden his horizons. He hopes Grassroutes to be an
eye opening experience.

Shubhda Chaudhary
Shubhda pursued Bachelors of Mass Media and Mass
Communication from Delhi University. She was shortlisted
by U.S.Embassy for 2009 Study of United States in
Washington D.C. She was also selected for the UHF Fellow
Programme at India's first Habitat She has been working
as a freelance writer, editor, proof reader and blogger.
Shubhda is committed to learning, quick on the uptake,
tenacious, determined and possess excellent stamina for
work.

Sri Ranganathan
Sri is a simple person by nature and approaches life with
the same attitude. Social activities have been a part of his
life ever since college. He has been a part of various
Corporate Social Responsibility Projects. He is also an
active public speaker. Currently, he is an entrepreneur
and working with NGOs on off-days. He is really interested
in bringing micro finance to rural entrepreneurs. Also, he
hopes to document the change makers & rural innovators
by travelling across India.

Surbhi Bhalla
Surbhi was born & brought up in Delhi. She is a
nutritionist by education & profession, an Urban desi,
vagabond soul, freedom-seeker, travel enthusiast,
adventure freak, writer, philosopher, dreamer and the list
goes on. She comes to Grassroutes, to find her set of keys
and to meet and interact with people from diverse
background and interests.

Swati Chawla
Swati is a resident of Delhi. She has done her post
graduation in Political Science from Delhi University and is
currently working with IPAC, Delhi as a lobbyist. Her work
involves policy implementation for social change in
tandem with the government. Her family comprises of her
parents and 2 siblings.

Swetha SB
Swetha Stotra Bashyam is doing her Graduation in Life
Sciences at St.Francis College, Hyderabad. She is the
captain of the NSS and Prakriti club in her college. She has
won many medals in state and national arenas for
Rhythmic Gymnastics. She is a person who has been
enthusiastic about protecting nature and with the help of
Grassroutes, she hopes that she will be able to see a
completely new side of the cause she cares for. She was
selected as a delegate for COP15.

Tanvi Rao
Tanvi Rao completed her bachelors in Economics at SRCC,
Delhi University. She is extremely interested in
developmental economics and has decided to study the
same in her master's. She worked with The YP Foundation
in designing and implementing a lifeskills model for
educating street children. She loves visiting new places
and imbibing cultures. She is interested in learning how to
develop effective developmental projects and if the
current growth model is having any impact on rural lives

Tejaswi Damaraju
Tejaswi is an Architect from Hyderabad. Right now, she is
in between jobs, trying to find out where she fits best.
She was born and brought up in Hyderabad but she
travelled quite a bit. She is also an Adventure enthusiast.
Thinking without boundaries, accepting people than
judging them, is how she would define herself.
