On 21July1969, an interesting event happened. A-human being from

our planet set foot on another world. Yes, Neil Armstrong, an American
astronaut, stepped out from an Apollo spacecraft on to the surface of the
moon. Man at last achieved what he had dreamed of for so long. He had
travelled in space to another world.

Before the year 1900, man could not even f~ at all, except the
balloons and gliders with the help of wind. But today they can fly 384 000
kilometres to the moon and back again safely.

Today Man are trying something else. They would like to promote
'space visits' whereby any person who is capable of paying will make a trip

(?ne hot summer, a fox wandered into an abandoned garden. Before he

knew what was happening, he had tumbled into an old, deep well. There was
not much water in the well, so the fox was quite safe at the bottom, but the
sides were smooth and straight. The fox soon realised that he could not climb
out. The fox was beginning to think that he would never escape, when a goat
face looked over the wall.

"Hello down there!" boomed a voice," said the goat.

The cunning fox at once saw his chance,

"My friend," he called, "Come and share this lovely water with me!"

So the silly goat jumped into the well and drank the water. But before
long, even the goat began to wonder how they would get out.

"Easy, my friend," said the fox. "'Put your front feet as high up the wall
as you can. ru climb onto your back and jump to tt'e top. Then I'll help you."

The goat did as the fox said. In seconds, the fox was out of the well
and ran away. The poor goat was stuck there.
