INFORMATION
The undersigned Senior Assistant Prosecutor accuses Ominta Romato-
Maute of the crime of Rebellion, defined and penalized under Article 134 of the
Revised Penal Code, in connection with the Marawi City siege committed as
follows:

That on during the siege in Marawi City, Philippines, and within the
jurisdiction of the Honorable Court, accused OMINTA ROMATO-MAUTE, alias
Farhana is the mother of Maute group founders Omar and Abdullah and
together 11 others ,whose identities were not yet ascertained, accused
herein. On the first day of the siege, Farhana was prompting authorities to
include her in the rebellion charges. Farhana was arrested on June 3,
2017, along with several others when police found several arms and
improvised explosive devices on Farhana and her companions. Reports
said that the Maute group tried to escape as government troops continued
to pound the citys downtown area, where the said Maute terrorists were
believed to holed up. The accused did then and there wilfully, unlawfully,
and feloniously rise publicly and taking arms against the Government for
the purpose of removing from the allegiance to said Government or its
laws, the territory of the Philippine Islands or any part thereof, of any body
of land, naval or other armed forces, depriving the Chief Executive or the
Legislature, wholly or partially, of any of their powers or prerogatives.
