In 1940,Barangay Roxas was originally called District 3 and one of the center Barangays of Solano and it

belongs to a political unit.It was headed by a tinyente Del Barrio the late Honorable Severo Tamani
Labog and serve until World War II ended.

It is bounded by the north of Leyva Street on the east by silauan street on the south,the Aratal Street
now named from Philippine her Jose Protacio Rizal National Highway or J.P. Rizal highway.

The rice fields located on the easter part of the barangay where farmers organized Dam officers in order
to develop and sustain the needs of the people to a productive palay producer in the whole country,it
includes the total area of more or less 1,599.93 hectares it is the biggest among the 22 barangay of
solano,the highest funded internal revenue allocation (IRA) from national government consist of more
or less 10,000 populations in the year 2006 with different tribes.In 1967,during the administration of
former president Ferdinand E. Marcos ,through the locl government code renamed former president
Manuel Roxas to barangay Roxas.

In 1994,during the administration of Barangay Captain Jose Tamani Gonzales and his councillors,Seven
puroks were created from the popular trees in the Philippines namely ;
Narra,Banaba,Acacia,Tanguile,Almaciga,Pines and Mahogany.The lot where barangay Roxas were
elected was unselfishly donated by undefeated mayor of Solano the Honorable Heraldo Dagdag
Dacayo,the lot is adjacent to their family home and multipurpose hall lot was donated by Engr.
Nicomedes Arreola and Mr. Claudio Castillo.

At present , administration started 2013 under the leadership of Punong Barangay ,Hon. Jun Mc Cris J.
Collado with his active barangay councillors.Included in the vicinity of Barangay Roxas are the New
Municipal hall ,Bureau of fishery and cemetery garnered numerous awards such as Cleanest and
Greenest in Region 2 based on people empowerment through literacy and community development
.Newly constructed buildings are ;Philippine National police Headquarters located at Binacao St. Brgy
Roxas,Solano,N.V. (former municipal nursery)was inaugurated on May 8,2009 and Mini Hospital or Lying
in clinic at the back of New Municipal Hall was also inaugurated on July 25,2011.Also,new and bigger
rooms were built for Daycare Center to accommodate the enormous counts of children being enrolled
as these residents of barangay recognizing the quality foundation of education.
