    Being a strong believer in Space Based Power or Energy from Space since I worked at McDonnell Douglas & General Dynamic Space Systems in 1987 & then on. I am currently an unemployed Aerospace Engineer Director & Manager in Southern California because our Governor Jerry (Moonbeam) Brown has made taxes appalling to do business in California-everyone (Boeing, Lockheed & Northrop + Mfg. Companies) is leaving. It is time for NASA, the Department of Energy and other interested parties to come together to find a clean Space Based solution to our energy needs that will prevent the next oil gusher disaster somewhere else in the world. How many Eco-Systems must we destroy before we say “Enough”, it’s time for a paradigm shift in our approach to solve the World’s energy needs. I am starting up a new business (see: www.insta-grid.com) with some of the brightest people in our Country in developing solutions for US: (1) Energy Production and Distribution – Insta-GridTM fabric can simultaneously act as a solar power production device and a microwave transceiver for the wireless transmission of power. The fabric can be integrated into residential, commercial, or industrial structures, vehicles, personal devices, clothing, or can be simply used as a mobile standalone power source. ($50 Billion/Yr. Market) (2) The fabric is also an integral part of the Power-StarTM satellite design, a network of which will create an orbital system capable of providing instantaneous around-the-clock power delivery to adequately-equipped receivers worldwide. (Returning $2 Trillion/Yr. @10% Market)-I plan to give it to NASA, DOE & DOD after we privately develop & launch this. The first profit center in the US Government. (3) Industrial and Utility System Protection – Protecta-GridTM, a variant of Insta-Grid that includes munitions-resistant structural reinforcement and a tuned nuclear hardening grille, can be used to envelop critical large scale national infrastructure components. ($1.7 Trillion US alone & putting a million people to work installing our Tarp system). GODSPEED!
