SHORT USER MANUAL AND MAINTENANCE

HEMATOLOGY ANALYZER PHOENIX NCC-2310

Turning ON:
Turn switch ON. Switch is located on the back side of the instrument, near AC power cord.
After switching ON, instrument begin with automated Start Up procedure, doing self check and
background test, and after validation of background range, instrument is ready for use.

Background test:
You should do background test as follow:
In main menu, click on Info button, place ID 999999999, then click OK;
Press Sampling button [START] in whole blood mode, without giving specimen to the sample
probe.
Background limits will be automatically displayed on display and printed by internal thermal printer.
If instrument gets results out of limits for background test twice (two times in a row), please refer to
the User Manual, chapter 10.12

Specimen counting:
In the blood analyzer window, click Sample Mode and then select Prediluted or Whole
Blood mode. Then in the blood analyzer window, click Info, and information window pops up. Fill
required informations about sample.
Place collected and prepared specimen below sample probe and press [START] sampling button.
After instrument finish counting, press Print button in the main menu as needed, if automatically printing
results is set OFF.

Turning OFF:
Click right mouse button form the main menu and select Shutdown. Place EA cleaner below
sample probe and press [START] sampling button. When instrument display message Turn off the power
now, turn switch OFF. Switch is located on the back side of the instrument, near AC power cord.

Flush: (Function/Service/Flush): This function is for solving general probe clog. The instrument makes a
fixed pressure and voltage act on the probe to get rid of the clogs.

Enhanced Flush: (Function/Service/Enhanced Flush): This function is used to solve indolent probe clogs.
Get rid of the frequently probe clog by use of the Probe cleaner.

Cleaning: (Function/Service/Cleaning): This function is used for the routine cleaning of the probe, sample
needle, metering tube measurement tubing.

Enhanced Cleaning: (Function/Service/Enhanced Cleaning): This function is used for the enhanced
cleaning of the probe, sample needle, metering tube, measurement tubing.

Maintenance: User can finish the weekly maintenance according to the prompt information on the screen.
Prepare EA cleaner and Probe cleaner before performing the function. Press right mouse button, select option
Function/Service/Maintenance. Place Probe cleaner below sample probe and press [START] sampling
button. After 10 minutes, instruments start with Shutdown procedure and ask for EA cleaner. Place EA
cleaner below sample probe and press [START] sampling button. After finishing, instrument display
message Turn off the power now. You can turn switch OFF now.
