APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ACCOUNTANT

I am interested in the position of Accountant advertised at job street.com.my on 10 April

2013. I had obtained my Bachelor in Accountancy (Hons) from UITM and already had 3
years of experience in this field. My current job position is as an accounts executive at
Standard Charted Bank Malaysia Bhd, Kuala Lumpur for one year.

My program in accounting has given me a lot of opportunity to learn the fundamentals of

accounting practices. As a degree accounting student, it gave me in-depth view of the
accounting profession since it involve the learning on core competencies of critical thinking,
technology and communication, as well as complementary business theories in management,
organizational behaviour, economics and finance.

Accounting is one of the challenging fields. As an account executive, I must ensure that all
the transaction is done correctly and all report should be submitted on time. It is very
challenging because I need to deal with my employees behaviour and must make sure that
employees are giving their best performances by working in an effective and efficient
manner. Besides, I have to review all the accounting transaction to make sure that the
accounting transactions are in compliance with the standards and regulations applicable.
These require a lot of time to review because sometimes there are transactions that are
recorded wrongly or from unknown resources. Since I have always want to challenge myself,
so I look forward to the challenge of handling Power Roots account in overseas (Dubai) and
work as a great team.
