STATEMENTOFPROBABLECAUSE

TheComplainantstatesthatthefollowingfactsestablishprobablecause:

YourcomplainantisalicensedpeaceofficerintheStateofMinnesota,andisemployedbytheWoodbury
PoliceDepartment.Inthatcapacityanduponreviewofthereportsandattachments,yourcomplainant
statesthefollowingtoestablishprobablecause:

OnAugust2,2017at7:30pm,officersreceivedareportofadomesticdisturbanceintheareaof
WimbledonRidgeinWoodbury,WashingtonCounty.WhenofficersarrivedtheylocatedJ.D.whowas
cryingandvisiblyshaken.J.D.reportedthatsheandHARLEYJAMESANDERSON,DOB:1-12-1996,
defendant,hadbeendatingfor2years.ThatJ.D.livedwithhergrandparentsat2876CastlefordCourtin
Woodbury,andthathergrandmotherprohibitedthedefendantfromcomingtotheirresidence.Onthis
particularevening,J.D.wassupposedtomeetthedefendantatapark,buthadfallenasleep.Whenshe
awokeandwentoutside,thedefendantwastherehidingbehindatruck.Sheapproachedthedefendant
andhestartedtoyellathercallinghera"whore"and"bitch"andaccusingherofsleepingwithotherguys.
Theargumentwassoloudthatseveralneighborsreportedtheycouldheartheyellingandfighting.Atone
point,thedefendantreachedoutandslappedJ.D.

J.D.'sbrotherandhisfriend,A.G.werenearbyandheardthealtercation.A.G.approachedthedefendant
andJ.D.inanattempttostopthearguing.ThedefendantthenswungatA.G.andhithim.Aphysicalfight
ensued.AneyewitnesssawA.G.attempttobreakuptheargumentandconfirmedthatthedefendantthrew
thefirstpunch.ThedefendantandA.G.continuedtofightontheground,whenA.G.realizedhehadbeen
stabbedasbloodwascomingouthisside.OfficersobservedafreshcutonA.G.'ssideandacutonhis
boxershortsthatwascoveredinfreshblood.

Thedefendantfledthescene.HewasapprehendedonhisscooternearValleyCreekandRadioDrive.
Thedefendantwasstoppedandsearched.Inhispocketwasapocketknife.Thedefendantadmittedthat
J.D.washisgirlfriendandthathehadbeenatherresidence.Hedeniedarguingwithherandstatedthat
theywerejusttalking(despiteseveralwitnessesconfirmingthattheywereyellingandfightingandhewas
callinghernamesandaccusingherofcheating.).HealsoclaimedA.G.suckerpunchedhim,despitean
eyewitnesswhosawthedefendantthrowthefirstpunch.

From the above sworn facts, and any supporting affidavits or supplemental sworn testimony, I, the Issuing Officer, have
determined that probable cause exists to support, subject to bail or conditions of release where applicable, Defendants arrest
or other lawful steps be taken to obtain Defendants appearance in court, or Defendants detention, if already in custody,
pendingfurtherproceedings.Defendantisthereforechargedwiththeabove-statedoffense(s).
