JICA Innovative Asia: Overview

The Innovative Asia initiative provides students from 12 Asian

countries with opportunities to conduct research, enroll in Masters or
Doctoral programs at Japanese universities and participate in
internships with Japanese companies.

Standard Timetable at Tokyo Tech:

September 2017 March 2018 (Research student, 6
months)

Degree-seeking student : Masters or Doctoral program

April 2018 March 2020 (For Masters program, 2 years)
April 2018 March 2021 (For Doctoral program, 3 years)

Internship during summer break

Internship in Japan for up to 6 months after program
completion

NOTE: Students who enter the masters degree program

may not proceed to the doctoral program at Tokyo Tech.

Age - Under 40years
(as of September 1, 2017 for the 1st Batch participants)
Education - Bachelors degree
(as of September 1, 2017 for the 1st Batch participants)
