What is Software as a Service (SaaS)?

Software as a service (SaaS, pronounced [ss])


Sometimes referred to as "on-demand software"
A software delivery model in which software and its associated data
are hosted centrally typically in the (Internet) cloud
Accessed by users using a web browser over the Internet
Customers pay a monthly license fee per user
