Mobile Games
As a Tech student, time management is critical, so one might decide that console or PC video games are too time consuming or
inconvenient to be enjoyed on a regular basis. The solution is mobile games, which can be played on-the-go and tend to have
conveniently short levels or frequent stopping points. While there will always be a place for in-depth storytelling and well-rendered
graphics in console games, sometimes the situation simply does not call for such extravagance. For the decidedly low price of free,
quite a few mobile games are worth a try.

Zlatan Legends
Isbit Games AB released Zlatan Legends (Aug. 17), an interesting homage to Zlatan Ibrahimovi, a soccer
player for Manchester United. He is a top-notch athlete in every single universe of the games multiverse setting.
The game centers on the game DriftBall, which does not follow the physics of the real world; however, after
getting used to them, the controls are basic and easy to use. The best part of the game is its highly repetitive
arcade-style music, but even this acoustic backdrop fails to make the game interesting. Perhaps those who are
fans of Ibrahimovi would appreciate the game more.

Fast Track
Nathan Malvilles Fast Track (Aug. 17) foregoes story entirely. With its upbeat music and minimalist graphics,
this mobile app is quite enjoyable. Originally released Aug. 16, this app has already been updated twice. Within
the game, each level is a track with various obstacles and collectables. The player is in control of the horizontal
movement of a bland white arrow, jutting up from the bottom of the screen and eagerly traversing the track
before it.

Piece Out
Kumobiuss Piece Out (Aug. 14) is a puzzle game reminiscent of Rush Hour. The plastic cars and trucks have
become Tetris pieces with arrows to show which way they are allowed to move. With seemingly endless puzzles,
Piece Out can easily keep one occupied for days on end. While the puzzle game does offer audio, the tranquil
music in the background can start to grate after a while, so headphones are not even necessary.

Jazz smash
Mamaus Jazz Smash (Aug. 16) is, strangely enough, exactly what it claims to be. The players hit a variety of
objects with a virtual baseball bat in rhythm with a rather uncreative jazz song. There is an option to instead play
to the tune of something labelled Rock, but that change hardly improves matters. Unless trying to improve
ones sense of rhythm, this app seems to be entirely pointless.
