2. PRESENTACIN
Describing place is one of the most important skills a person can develop in a second language. Whether
using a language in a school, an office, a factory, or a tourist site, there will always be many situations that
require you to describe a location and the objects in it. By learning to describe location, you can greatly
improve your ability to use English in real-world environments. At the end of this guide you will be able to:
use prepositions of place to form sentences about physical locations, use adjectives to describe the nature
of places, and use the adjectives some/any to differentiate between singular and plural subjects.

The words some and any are used when the speaker cannot specify or does not need/want to specify a
number or an exact amount.
