This timeline was designed to give new Bible Readers a basic idea of how the Biblical books
relate to the persons and events they speak about. The listing of books is based on their speaking
about these persons and events. It is not a list of when books were written. I am not addressing,
here, the issue of the precise dating of the books.

Note, When a Prophet is identified with a book of the same name, the name is listed under
Prophet and is not listed again under Book as that would be superfluous.
