The decedent had arrived at the Lightning in a Bottle fe: il on $/24/17 according to Monterey County Sheriff reports. The decedent had been hanging around with possibly two separate groups of people at the festival, Little detail is provided as to the activities on 5/25/17 and $/26/17 with the exception of reports the decedent was hanging around “shady” people, who ‘were believed to methamphetamine users, according to the Monterey Sheriff report. Friends were aware that the decedent was using LSD at the festival. Accounts provided to Monterey. Sheriff indicated the decedent had possibly been witnessed taking at least 2.5 doses of LSD, On Saturday 5/27/17, the decedent had been seen by multiple friends. Around 1800 hours on Saturday, friends found the decedent near the Thunder Stage at the festival. ‘The decedent was exhibiting an altered mental status and was escorted by friends to event staff at about 1900 hours. Coroner Case #18091 Decedent: Gatlin, Baylee Yarra The decedent was in the care of the festival staff reportedly starting at an area used to assist Patrons who were having bad reactions to drugs, and also attended to by medical staff. Ambulance reports indicate they were dispatched to the festival to attend to the decedent at 0108 ‘hours on Sunday 5/27/17. They left the festival at 0136 hours and arrived at Twin ‘Community Hospital and transferred the decedent to hospital care at 0214, Based on reports from the Monterey Sheriff and Ambulance, itis likely the decedent had not ingested any narcotics for approximately six hours, Reports indicated the decedent was a daily marijuana user and possibly used Aderall without a prescription. During a search of the decedent's Property at the hospital, | found methamphetamine. LSD. and marijuana. Jclectronically updated the death certificate with the amended causes of death.
