Support of the Westchester Correction Association, Chartered Chapter of the

National Association of Blacks in Criminal Justice and Grand Council of
Guardians

As a national organization of Black Law Enforcement Professionals, it is incomprehensible

for a Black Union President to try to silence a Black Law Enforcement organization.

The political thuggery of Mr. Alonzo West and the Corrections Officers Benevolent
Association against its own members goes against the DNA and core values of any labor
union.

To have the unmitigated gall to send a "Cease and Desist" to a chapter of the historical
Black Law Enforcement Organization shows the true disconnect from Mr. West to his
members of color.

I question how the law firm of Cittone & Chinta are getting paid? Was this voted on by the
Executive Board to sue its union members? COBA members must question such actions by
Mr. West that on the surface could be alleged as unethical or illegal by COBA bi-laws. The
actions of Mr. Alonzo West will take the once great history of COBA down the rabbit hole.
The credibility of COBA members is in their hands to question his actions.

As I stated many times before, Mr. West has never been a member of any historical
National Black Law Enforcement Organization. His lack of involvement in his entire career
reduces him to be unqualified spiritually and culturally to any understanding of the mission
of what a Black Law Enforcement organization is about or what our mission statement
signifies.

This gives evidence to why Mr. West will spend his political capital showing his hypocrisy
in trying to be a Separatist Dictator instead of a Unifying Union President.

As a national organization of Black Law Enforcement Professionals, we support the

Westchester Correction Association, charted chapter of the National Association of Blacks
in Criminal Justice and Grand Council of Guardians.
