ABSTRACT
The Travel Desk is required to maintain considerable information of the employees, their
passports, and visa related information, travel information etc. Presently these are maintained
in Microsoft Excel form, in standalone mode. When a new employee joins into the company
his information is stored in the database by the travel desk. When a request is generated by
the Senior Managers for an employees visit to a foreign country then his information is
processed for passport and visa details and relevant data and application are passed on to him
and are processed by the Travel Desk.
Existing System
The existing system of the company uses Microsoft Excel form to store data.
It is in a standalone mode. To store each type of details different form is used. The same data
is stored in different forms. To check the status of any employee we have to go through out
the excel sheet and cross check each and every individual record.
If an employees passport or visa is going to expire we cannot have
information pertaining to it in advance, unless and until all the records in those particular
sheets are checked.
