Amelia Earhart

Amelia Mary Earhart Otis was born in Atchison, Kansas, United States on July 24, 1897;
she was an aviator, famous for her flying marks and for trying the first air travel around the
world on the equator.
During her childhood, Amelia showed a restless and audacious personality, engaging in
activities attributed to the boys: she climbed trees, sliding on a sleigh, and shot rats with a
rifle.
Her first aviation classes were obtained from instructor Neta Snook, another pioneer pilot.
Already in 1935 she began to plan to make a trip around the world. To do so would mark
two milestones: the first woman to do so and the greatest possible distance by
circumnavigating the globe at its equator. In that flight plan she had to execute two
attempts: in the first her airplane suffered some failures; in the second she managed to take
off successfully, but it was never discovered where she landed.
She used to send many letters to her husband, and in one of them she said: "Please you have
to know that I am aware of the dangers, I want to do it because I want to. Women should
try to do things as men have. When they failed their attempts should be a challenge for
others.
After eighty years of research and investigation no one has been able to confirm exactly if
she landed safe and sound or if the plane crashed and she passed away... There are many
theories about her disappearance, but ... which one is correct?
