Violin
More than 25 pieces for violin and piano

Edited by Edward Huws Jones

BOOSEY@IIAWKES
London New York Berlin Sydney
PREFACE
The pieces in Bravo! Violin take the student progressively through the
early grades. They consist mainly of original material, with a few
arrangements too sorne well-known, sorne more unusual. These pieces
-

are intended to encourage the student to perform rather than mereiy play
-

- whenever the opportunity arises.

Ah too often, the early stages of leaming an instrument can be a sohitary
process. Wherever possible, these pieces should be played with their
keyboard accompaniments. Hearing the keyboard parts wihi lead to an
awareness and appreciation of different musical styles and a sense of
harmony, not just melody. In addition, playing with an accompaniment
deveiops the pupils ability to maintain his or her own part while histening
to another. And of course, its fun!

PREFACE
Les rnorceaux se trouvant dans Bravo! Violon guident progressivement
