EMPLOYEE HOUSING INFORMATION

Thank you for your interest in Deer Valley Employee Housing. Please carefully review the information
included in this application and research other resources available before deciding if this housing
option is a good fit for you.

You will be considered for housing after the following criteria have been met:
You have received and accepted a full-time job offer from a Deer Valley hiring manager.

The Housing Manager has received a copy of this signed Housing Application and Housing
Agreement, along with a $350 deposit in the form of credit card, check, or Money Order
made payable to Deer Valley Resort (no cash, please). In the event that you are not
assigned a room, Deer Valley will refund the entire deposit after all room assignments have
been made.

Upon receipt of the Housing Application, Agreement and deposit, the Housing Manager will
confirm receipt, and will let you know if you have a confirmed space in housing. Please allow 72
hours to process your housing application.

NOTE- Completion of the attached application does not guarantee a space in Deer Valley Employee
Housing. Space is limited and will be assigned according to departmental guidelines.

Room Rates and Details: (cost is per person per night)


Park City Facilities (in town): Double- 2 people $14
Triple- 3 people $12
Heber/Rivers Edge (25 min. drive): 3-4 people $12

Due to demand for Employee Housing, we reserve the right to fully utilize all available bed
space.

If Deer Valley assigns you a room, the $350.00 deposit will apply as follows:
Deer Valley will retain $50.00 as a Non Refundable administrative fee.
Deer Valley will hold $300.00 as a security/cleaning deposit, and may apply it toward any
damage caused to the room beyond normal wear and tear, additional cleaning necessary to

restore the room to an acceptable condition, rent you may still owe, or other amounts
owing to Deer Valley pursuant to the housing agreement. All damages considered
beyond normal wear and tear will be deducted from you final paycheck in addition to
loss of future housing privileges.
The balance of your security/cleaning deposit, will be refunded four to six weeks after
the resort closing date.
You will not receive your Employee Housing Deposit refund if:
o You move out of Employee Housing, for any reason, before your job offer
expires.
o You voluntarily terminate your employment before the end of the season.
o You are involuntarily terminated by Deer Valley.

If for any reason you decline Employee Housing, your deposit will be handled according to the
following schedule:
All housing applicant declines up to November 15, 2017: a full deposit refund
including the $50.00 admin fee will be returned ($350.00)
All housing applicant declines after November 15, 2017: no refund will be returned

Additional important information to review before applying:

No Smoking is allowed in any Deer Valley Employee Housing facility. Residents may smoke
outside the buildings in designated areas and must be at least 25 feet from the building, per
the Utah Indoor Clean Air Act.

The following listed behaviors or items are not allowed in any Employee Housing facilities at
any time; Overnight Guests, Parties, Fire Hazards, Weapons, Illegal Activities, Excessive
Consumption of Alcohol, Underage Drinking, Pets.

Residents are responsible for keeping their units clean and orderly at all times.

Parking is very limited at Employee Housing in Park City. A limited number of parking
permits will be issued on a first-come first-served basis. Please list your vehicle when you
submit your housing application and deposit. Employees who arrive at Employee Housing
with an unregistered vehicle will be reassigned to Rivers Edge.

Deer Valley does not provide linens (bedding and towels), dishes or dining utensils or
cleaning supplies for residents. You are required to have bed linens. Please make sure to bring
your own.

Deer Valley does provide each room with a microwave and refrigerator.

Basic cable television is provided only at Snowshoe Inn and Prospector. If the Prospector
Square Homeowners Association for the Employee Housing, Prospector Square building,
discontinues cable television to the rooms; cable television will not be supplied by Deer
Valley and will not be included in the rent.

EMPLOYEE HOUSING AGREEMENT


Winter 2017-2018

I hereby authorize Deer Valley to deduct two weeks rent from each of my paychecks. If any paycheck
is insufficient to deduct the entire two weeks rent, I authorize Deer Valley to deduct additional
amounts from each successive paycheck, including my final paycheck, until all past-due amounts
have been paid in full. I understand that payroll deductions will be made starting with my first
paycheck. I am responsible for rent payments when payroll deductions do not occur for any
reason. Failure to meet payment requirements could result in termination of housing privileges. I am

I understand that upon check-in to Employee Housing, I will receive a personal copy of the Employee
Housing Handbook. I acknowledge that I am responsible for reading and demonstrating an
understanding of all information contained in the handbook. I am responsible for asking for
clarification if I do not understand the information. M y failure to abide by any of the provisions,
rules or regulations, or any behavior on my part that poses a serious threat to public health and
welfare, will result in the loss of my right to occupy a space in Employee Housing, and may
also adversely affect my employment with Deer Valley. (_________Initial)

interview process, is truthful and accurate. Discrepancies may result in the loss of my right to
occupy a space in Employee Housing, and may also adversely affect my employment with Deer

I understand and acknowledge that this Employee Housing Agreement does not alter my status as an
at-will employee of Deer Valley. It does not imply that I have any employment contract with Deer
Valley. I further understand and acknowledge that by allowing me to occupy a space in one
of the rooms, Deer Valley Resort is granting me a personal license only, and I do not have the
rights of a tenant under the Utah landlord/tenant law. I also understand that I cannot expect the
same level of privacy in Employee Housing that I would have in my own house or apartment. I
specifically agree that Deer Valley may make unannounced inspections of my room. (________Initial)
