Hymn Praising the Avadhut

Nitynandya guruve Avininam tmana


iya-sasra-hrie hyeka vijya tattvata
Bhakta-kryaika-dehya Vta-rga-bhaya-krodha
Namaste cit-sad-tmane nitynanda nammyaham

Salutations to Nityananda, the Guru, who rescues his disciples from "Indestructible is the Self, for it is One;" having known this truth,

sama-loma-kchanam hytm mukta santana
Sama-dukha-sukha dhra Iti vijaya santpta
avadhta nammyaham avadhta nammyaham

Kma-sakalpa-varjitam svapna-vadyo'vatihate
Heyopdeya-hina ta Nichinta chinmaytmna
avadhta nammyaham nityanandam nammyaham

His deeds burnt up by the fires of Realization; purged of desire and Always in the waking state, he abides like one asleep;

Svabhvrnaiva yo yog Dvea nsti priya nsti


sukaha bhoga na vachati nsti yasya ubh-ubham
Yadcch-lbha-santua Bheda-jna-vihna ta
avadhta nammyaham avadhta nammayham

Naiva nind-praasbhy Jaa payati no yastu


Yasya vikryate mana jagat-payati chinmayam
