Designing Professional Development

You will use the following template to document the overall plan for the Module

Assess Yourself and the The primary audience of this professional development course
Audience consists of certified Science educators of all experience levels. This
primary audience teaches or provides additional instructional
support to students in grades 9-12.

Analyze the Learner The targeted groups of learners are Science educators, for a
particular school in Stone Mountain, Georgia. The educators range
in experience, from novice to 7 years. There are a total of two
educators in the science department.
Select Instructional Upon the completion of this professional development course, the
Objectives learner will be able to explain GIZMOs, their purpose in the
classroom, generate a unique list of resources for different courses
taught, and assess student comprehension content gained.

At the end of this training, the adult learners will be able to


log into explore learning website and create tabs for each
class taught, that the resource is applicable to.
At the end of this training, the adult learners will be able to
navigate the search box, identify, and upload GIZMOs
applicable to content being taught in class to the class tabs.
At the end of this training, the adult learners will be able to
locate the respective assessments for each GIZMO
uploaded to the class tabs.
Provide Incentives The Science Department will receive a shout out during the
weekly Shouties given out by the Principal.
Plan Materials and A Course Evaluation will be provides to teachers.

Audience and Objectives Lesson 2-Finding and Assigning appropriate GIZMOs
Lesson 3-Identify Class Codes and Complete a GIZMO
Use Guided Practice Screenshots will be provided in the PD so teachers will be guided
through steps.
