Nashville is a city on the move. Our economy is diverse and thriving. Our Music City brand is famous worldwide.

Our reputation for creativity and culture is second-to-none. But good growth has also brought bad traffic. 15
And its taking a toll. Its time to solve this problem and bring transportation independence to all Nashvillians. Right now.

Mayor Megan Barry and our Metropolitan Government have a bold, comprehensive plan

THE PLAN 4

Metros Transportation Solution is a $5.2 billion infrastructure investment in our future that will be funded by a range of fees
like business, sales, and tourism taxes. It includes:

Existing Bus Service Improvements: Beginning in 2019, well enhance our existing bus service with upgraded state-of-the-art electric
buses, more crosstown routes, 15-minute peak service on busy routes, buses running 20 hours out of every day, and a reduction in
travel time on some trips by 80 percent.

I-65 Rapid Bus: Soon after, well begin to introduce Rapid Bus service along Dickerson Road, Hillsboro Road, West End Avenue,
9Rand The Bordeaux Route.

Light Rail: By 2026, well begin to open Nashvilles first light rail lines along four of our busiest corridors Gallatin Road, Nolensville
Road, Charlotte Avenue, and Murfreesboro Road out to the airport. And were creating a light rail line using existing rails that will run
along the Northwest Corridor to Buchanan Street.

60 Downtown: Were even going underground! All light rail and Rapid Bus lines going into and out of downtown will travel through a
4
three-stop, state-of-the-art tunnel running beneath 5th Avenue from Charlotte to SoBro serving the regions job, economic, and
entertainment center.

MUSIC CITY CENTRAL
Neighborhood Transit Centers: Beginning in 2019, Metro will start construction on nearly two dozen convenient Neighborhood Transit MUSI
Centers to be phased in over a five-year period. These hubs of mobility will offer safe, easy access to the entire system including its
new park-and-rides, bike facilities and sidewalks.

25 Lets Move Nashville will bring benefits to everyone, no matter how they get around and whatever their age, ability or income.
And these benefits go far beyond better transportation. It means:
MIDTOWN
Access: Well provide our youth, elderly, disabled and disadvantaged citizens with more travel options, new and cleaner buses,
more convenient routes and on-demand technology.
25

I-24
Jobs: Well provide opportunities for good paying jobs for Davidson County residents during construction and operation
of the transit network.

Sustainability: Well reduce smog and greenhouse gas emissions by offering electric buses and light rail, bike lanes, and
sidewalks as alternatives to cars.

Affordable Housing: Well capture the increased value of property along light rail and rapid bus corridors to reinvest in
affordable
17R and workforce housing near transit lines, lowering cost burdens on working families.

Safety: Well fix Nashvilles most dangerous intersections, improve existing crosswalks and traffic signals, and invest in
sidewalks connected to neighborhoods. 77

Community: Most importantly, well keep our communities connected to each other, and help preserve everything we
love about Nashville even as our city grows.
