Dear Sheri:
I am enclosing the original copy of the transcription of Bill's
statement taken on April 6th. Please ask him to read it over and
sign each page at the bottom. Any changes or corrections he would
like to make should be written in in ink and initialed. The
statement can be mailed back to me at the Ellensburg Police
Department, 100 N. Pearl in Ellensburg, to be included in the
case file.
I have also enclosed several voluntary statement pages for you to
fill out if you will. The tape that we made was inadvertently
destroyed before it could be transcribed. If you could write down
what you know about the incidents, through your talks with the girls
and with other persons involved, providing basically the same information
that we covered in the taped statement, it would be most helpful and
greatly appreciated. This also can be sent back to me in care of
the department.
I apologize for any inconvenience this might cause you and thank
you for your assistance in this matter.
Sincerely,
L.M, LOVELESS
Chief of Police
ick A. Baker, Det.
