TRAINING PROGRAMME THROUGH ICT

From 2012, the Institute started offering training programmes through

Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to enable the teachers from
Technical Institutions to benefit from these programmes without travelling to
NITTTR, Chandigarh. The training programme through ICT are conducted at
NITTTR, Chandigarh by experts in the relevant area and are streamed to
remote centres connected to NITTTR, Chandigarh through internet.

These programmes allow two-way communication enabling the participating

teachers to ask questions and clarify their doubts.

Technical Institutions from anywhere in the country can become remote centre
for the ICT based training programmes by sending a request in advance. The
remote centre has to ensure full time attendance of the participants during the
programmes. In addition to their own faculty/staff, the remote centres can
invite faculty of the nearby institutions to attend the programmes.

The requirements for becoming remote centre for training programme through
ICT, the institute should have:

1. Good quality internet connection

2. Class room/seminar hall with Laptop, Speakers, Projector and
Projection Screen.
3. Identify a faculty member as local coordinator to interact with NITTTR
Chandigarh programme coordinator and coordinate the programme at
the centre.

The institutions interested in connecting as remote centre in these

programmes may send email to the concerned programme co-ordinator
(details given on the last page) with a copy to:

ict@nitttrchd.ac.in
