AMA STYLE COMMENTS

Papers are formatted with 1 The formatting seems pretty similar to

margins, times new roman font
at 12 pt, left aligned and double
spaced.
Use and active voice.
You will have a title page, and
abstract, and a reference sheet.
The title page will have your
name, email, degree above a
bachelor, affiliations, word
count and the title of course.
The abstract will contain the
objective, design, results and a
conclusion. Up to 150 words. 3-
10 key words from the text at
the end.
Citations in text will be
documented by Arabic
numerals, multiple can be cited
at once when separated by a
comma.
Reference list will be by
numbered by the order they
appear in text.
MLA.
I tend to write in an active voice so
thats pretty neat.
Its odd you can only cite your degree if
you have a master or above.
The required parts seem pretty normal
for a published paper.
Sports Science papers use MSSE as
opposed to normal AMA citing which is
strange. From what I can tell the rest of
the format is the same. Though it does
say that there in no firm structural laws
in AMA so I guess it makes sense that
different disciplines will have different
rules.
Its also strange that you have a cap on
refences you can use in MSSE, though a
minimal amount will probably lead to
more concise writing so Id say that a
good call.
