Performance Tasks:
1. Students will form 3 groups and demonstrate various safety rules to be followed at home , at
school and on road.
2. They will ask each others about the basic questions like
a) what is a Subway?
b) What does each color of the light mean?
3. Students can make first aid box in groups and explain the use of each item in the box.
5. Holiday homework can be given to collect the phone numbers of hospital , fire brigade ,
ambulance , hospital , mother , father , relatives . neighbours and make a pocket dairy .

What sequence of teaching and learning experiences will equip students to develop and
demonstrate the desired understandings?
1. Various Safety measures to be taken care at home could be discussed with the students.
3. Ask the children about the traffic lights and motivate them to say what each color stands for.
4. Ask the students to speak about various mishaps that can happen at various places like school , home
or road if the safety rules are not followed.
5. Introduce the term First aid and basic first aids to be given in small cuts and wounds.
6. Discuss various things present in the First aid box and use of each item present in the box.
7. Ask the children to draw a Zebra crossing and a Traffic signal and mention what each color stands
for .
