Dear Lyme Resident,

I am writing you to ask for your support in Novembers election for First Selectman. I have
been interested in doing this for some time and with the retirement of long-time First
Selectman Ralph Eno, I feel now is the time.
I am a 3rd Generation resident of Lyme and have owned and operated a small carpentry
business in town for 25 years building everything from custom homes to steak dinner barbeque
grills. I have been a member of the Lyme Fire Company for 33 years with 11 of those years
serving in an officer position. I am in my 2nd year as Scoutmaster for our local Boy Scout Troop
26. I am also currently serving as a member of the Board of Selectman.
My small business has gained me vast knowledge of budgets, employees, scheduling,
planning, listening to customers needs, and state regulations. These gained attributes will be
necessary in managing our small town of Lyme.
I am seeking this position for my love of this town, I like it the way it is and want to continue
properly managing it the way its been done for the past 50 years. Our government has been
predominantly filled with Republican leadership, however, it has been operated in a
nonpartisan manner along with elected Democrats in the best interest of Lymes residents. This
philosophy of management must continue if we wish to remain a non-political town.
While the Federal and State Governments continue to become more dysfunctional every day,
and the State keeps putting more burdens on its towns, our Town Government has been able
to push forward with several major projects. Our school system has received a major
renovation, we have a brand-new library, our town hall has been remodeled and expanded, and
our landfill has been capped and transformed into a state of the art transfer station, all while
still maintaining a substantial rainy-day surplus.
I hope I can count on your vote, along with Parker Lord, a 20-year member of the Board of
Selectmen, on November 7th to continue the same positive track record of proper government
management. Together we can continue making Lyme the best town in CT and the place we all
call home.
Sincerely,
