Call for volunteering for the United Nations Climate

Change Conference COP23

The Embassy of Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Berlin, Germany in

collaboration with the Ministry of Climate Change, Government of Pakistan is
accepting applications for volunteers who will play a valuable role in the
organization and facilitation of the 2017 UN Climate Change Conference, COP
23, taking place from 6-17 November in Bonn, Germany.

More than 20,000 delegates from around the world, representing

governments, civil society, private sector, inter-governmental bodies and
other non-party stakeholders will be gathering in Bonn for the COP to discuss
and advance the ambitions of the Paris Agreement and achieve progress on its
implementation guidelines.

The Ministry of Climate Change, Government of Pakistan will also be setting

up a pavilion for portrayal of the national climate agenda of the country at
COP 23. Through their joint collaboration, the Embassy of Pakistan in Berlin,
Germany and the Ministry of Climate Change, Government of Pakistan aim to
provide an exclusive opportunity to 12 young Pakistani students studying
Germany to get involved with their activities for the conference.

Requirements
At least 18 years of age
Pakistani born and enrolled in an education institute in Germany
Has previous experience of event management and working in an
international setting
 Is a team player and can work proactively
Motivated to contribute towards climate action
Fluent in English; working knowledge of German is an asset
Can fully commit throughout the duration of the conference

Responsibilities
Acquaintance with the topics related to climate change and sustainable
development (starter kit will be provided prior to the event)
Actively take part in the operational activities of the event which can
vary from providing support at the venue, event assistance, registration,
desk support to ushering

We are looking forward to work with a team of 12 vibrant and enthusiastic

young students who want to make a contribution towards saving the planet
and work towards promoting a positive image of Pakistan!

As a token of appreciation, participation certificates will be provided to the

volunteers. In addition, a small honorarium will be awarded (as a contribution
towards partial coverage of food and accommodation expenses).
