want him to get upset and hurt any of the ambulance people

FC Yes, uh.. I was referred to you by the Crisis Hotline. Id like to report.. ah..
that my son has not been home and I need some help.

KW Okay, Whats your sons name?

FC I want to talk to somebody, I want to talk to somebody about what is going

on and

KW Where are you right now?

FC I am in my home in Rockport

KW Okay, what is your address in Rockport?

FC Its REDACTED I.. thuis doesnt all end up in the

newspaper does it?

KW No, it does not

FC Thank you

KW We just take the information and give it to the officer and then the officer
will make contact with you. So, is he missing from REDACTED? Is this
where he lives?

FC y,yes.. That is where he lives

KW What is his date of birth?

FC Hes an adult. Also, he hasnt been missing all that long, but ah I am
afraid he could REDACTED
ah also I do want to have faith in that, but I cant say that I am not
concerned, because he has been troubled.

KW So does he have a history ofthie behavior?

but he suddenly got this urge to want to go to Chicago

FC And I asked him to give me 24 hours and I went, also asked my husband,
called him and said you know we cant just drop everything and go with
you to Chicago. Even though he agreed he would rather have somebody in
the car with him. And I went to work for 2 hours and I came home around
3:20 and the car was gone and I havent seen him yet.

KW Okay

FC And, ah.. you know, I know it has only been 6 hours, and I have been sitting
here saying to myself, you know, trust him, love him, have faith hell be
okay. But, at some point you dont know when the line is to ask for help,
and it would ease my mind if the Rockland Police, he was with a girl
yesterday, her first name was REDACTED and her last name I dobt know

FC She lives in Rockland and he drove her home, and its possible that he
went to her just for friendship and Im making way too bif a deal ofthis

KW So do you know where she lives in Rockland?

FC I have no idea

KW Okay, and you believe

FC And the only thing I know about a girl named REDACTED is this girl named
REDACTED is that she works at Walmart. Thats all I know about her really.
 But I do know that, so I would want to check the Walmart parking lot. I took
a walk with my son to the breakwater today. I, I was driving around and its
a needle in a haystack, but I would want to check that parking lot. I did
earlier. I went myself early and checked a couple places including the
Hospital lot to see if he might have checked himself in to the Park unit

FC But I dont think he would have done, but the other possibility is he was
really anxious to go to Chicago and, you know, its possible you guys
could see if our license plate number went through the toll booth in
Massachusetts or in Maine and if I even know he was headed to Chicago I,
Id be so relieved to know that right now. Because, then he has not been in
a car accident and he is headed to his friends in Ohio where he went to
school.

KW Okay, and do you, Maam

FC Do you know how much relief I would have with that information?

KW Yeah, we can make that happen for yoyu. What is, do you know your
license plate number at all?

KW Okay, and what kuind of car is it?

FC If he is headed to Mass you know, I mean or Ohioit would be his first

stop. Im gonna be like okay, I can deal with this. Give him some space and,
and hell be okay, I think I, you know.. hes on an esdge, but I really felt
when I went to work for a lady today that he was going to be okay. And yet,
you know I am a worried mother and, it.. I had a friend helping me. Like I
dont wanna, no I, I Im just concerned and Im scared

KW Do you know what REDACTED was wearing when he left? Or youre not
sure.

FC I think he was wearing a dirty Viking Lumber tee shirt and a pair of gray
corduroy pants

KW Okay, and do you know if he has a cell phone with him?

FC He does not, its on his bureau

FC Causse the first thing I did was just text him. I, hes been changing his
mind a lot in the past 2-3 days

KW Okay and when you said you were afraid he would REDACTED, do you
know how he would do that? If he was going to do that?

FC REDACTED, and we told him that the world wants him alive, and he did
promise me that he wouldnt do it, and so I am trying to have faith, but I, I
am you cant not worry.

FC But if you were to actually see the car, I dont want to scare him. I dont
want to anger him. I mean he is making this phone call, he has been asking
me to trust him. I am praying more than anything he is headed out of state
to his friends butr youo know since he didnt take a dam thing with him
ecept a probable wallet, Im not so sure that is what hes done. And, I dont
know, so that is why Im calling.

KW Ill send the Rockport officer over and he will go into more detail about
what is going to happen next.
FC The Rockport or the Rockland?

KW It should be the Rockport because that is where you are. Thats where he is
missing from./ Thats who will speak with you first and then he will go from
there.

FC Does this go all over the place?

KW No, maam. Its just the way we have to do things for our jurisdiction and for
all that kind of stuff. But if they need to speak with Rockland, theyll let
them know to check areas. But he will come by and talk to you. The only
question I have before I let you go is do you know if he has any weapons
on him?

FC Oh, absolutely not

KW Okay

FC Hes a vdry mild sole. Theres no drugs involved. There;s no drinking

involved. Ah,.. hes just a very tender heart whos troubled and Im reaching
out to help him.

KW Okay, I will have the Rockport officer meet with you

FC Are they going to come to my house?

KW Yes, he will take all the info he is going to need from you and we will go
from there

FC My garage door, my garage door light is on and if he just comes and walks
in and goes upstairs

KW So you want him to come to the garage?

FC Well, I turned the lights on outside, but I have been trying to tell myself that
my kid is just going to come home, that he has been with a girl and he, hes
not thinking about what Im thinking or feeling. And, ahthat he is going to
come home so Ive had the lights on.

KW Okay, Ill let him know to come by and hell probabl;y knock on the door,
but it will be the Rockport officer, okay?

FC Alright, thanks
