Context of the Lesson

This is the third lesson for grade two and three from reading program in enrichment classes, for grade
2 and 3 girls and it is all about red hen story.
Teaching Goal

By the end of the lesson, students will be able to describe the actions like dig, cut, mill.
Learning Objectives:

Students will review and recognize the animal's names (duck, hen, cat, dog, rat)
Students will read with the teacher the verbs (dig, cut, mill, plant).
Through reading the learners will give a moral about the animals that they are not helping.

Assumptions about prior learning

Students may know the animals, but they may not know how to read the words (mill, dig, plant.. etc).

Anticipated problems and possible solutions

Students may want to predict what will happen next in the story, but I think they will struggle talking
in English and give full sentence. They may give two or three words.
Some students feel shy from reading, I will help them in pronounce the words.

Personal focus for this lesson

I will focus in holding one page of story and describe it with students well.
I will not rush in reading, and I will give students opportunity to participate and (being patient).

Main tasks or activities Resources and teaching aids
