hello guys, now i am in Ambarawa, Semarang city.

I will tell the history of the


construction of Ambarawa Railway Museum.

According to a source I read about Ambarawa Railway Museum that Ambarawa is one of
the military cities in the Dutch colonial government in Semarang. At that time the Dutch
government was led by King Williem I to build a railroad station that is useful to bring
troops to semarang. On 21 May 1873 the train station was officially opened and known
as Williem I. Station. This railway station became the meeting point between the width
of the train to kedungjati toward yogjakarta through magelang

preserve the past temporary in the form of steam railway which is currently the three
steam trains left in the world after in Switzerland and India. Ambarawa Railway Museum
was established on October 6, 1976.

In addition to a museum, this museum escorted Ambarawa railway tour to Bendowo,


known as Ambarawa Railway Mountain Tour. It operates from this museum to Bedono
Station which is 35 km distance and taken 1 hour to get to the station. The remaining
steam railway collections are the types of steam locomotives are 2 units of class B 25
(Esslingen 0-4-2RT) ie B 2502 and B 2503 (2 of the 3 remaining locomotives; third
locomotive, B 2501 is monumented at Palagan Ambarawa Monument ).
