Textual example:

First of all, I would like to share with you a bit about my professional experiences. I
worked as a telemarketing attendant for about fourteen years. And, even though most people think
that is an easy profession, it is not. Most of the time it's challeging.
We were in charge of anwering many calls quickly, dealing with different clients, managing
their requests and giving the information they needed in order to satisfy their wishes, etc. One of
the disadvantages of this job is that is very repetitive, so the attendants are used to complaining
about the repetition of the instructions to the clientele many times and it gets on their nerves. But
it's part of their lives. That's the reason why those professionals see this work as a tedious or
monotonous one.
Despite the fact that it is demanding, there are some positive points too such as if you're
not working in a receptive skill, being so, as an active one, you may have to achieve some goals
which might be rewarded and even more motivating since you don't have to work under a format.
As a result you may be freer in your own speech, yet you should be careful so as not to cause any
possible law suit for the company. I can say that when we achieved a number of sold products we
earned some prizes like a pen drive, a vaucher to do the shopping and so on.
But what made me happier about it was that it was a part-time job, therefore I could have
some time to do something for myself as going to the gym or going to the bank, for instance. And
you know that a call center is a place where there are a lot of employees, consequently I could
work as part of a team and, fortunately, the staff was normally very good as well as the employer.
Besides that, in this industry we must have some qualifications to get into it like being
capable to listen and type at the same time and being considerate and patient because clients can be
nervous at times. Due to the stressful routine, it is said that people should use the 'mute button' on
their telephones in case of avoiding being listened if they decided to shout or something like that.
Nevertheless we could ask for a break during our work time to relax after a complicated situation.
On a regular basis we had training courses weekly to improve our skills and we could act in
receptive mode or active one. And if we disered we could apply for another post in our companies
as a supervisor, for example. And we could be promoted in our career over there.
About the salary I can say that nowadays it is well-paid and we have some perks and as I was
saying some bonus. And we may also get promoted or even get a pay rise, not forgetting that we
sometimes have flexible working hours, for example, from 2 p.m. up to 8 p.m.
Therefore I would probably say that it is a positive profession because of the money I got
from there that made me pay for my undergraduate in Letters. And I can also say that I got happy
about getting sacked last October owing to the fact that I could intern in this new area for me and
as I was absolutely exhausted I could rest a bit at the end of the course. You know I had to write a
paper and do research, s you can suppose how I was.
In spite of the fact that it was good for me, for most of my colleagues who got annoyed for
being made redundant, it was very bad as some of them were the head of the family. But after that
I've been giving some private classes for some close friends and now I want to start teaching at a
school soon or start a post-graduate.
